And the weighing that Day will be the truth.(7-8) |
وَالْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ |
weight, balance |
وَزْنٌ (وَزَنَ) |
|
And everything with Him is by due measure.(13-8) |
وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِندَهُ بِمِقْدَارٍ |
due proportion |
مِقْدَارٌ |
|
Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, as much as an atom's weight. (4-40)
|
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ |
weight |
مِثْقَالٌ |
|
and caused to grow therein of every well-balanced thing. (15-19)
|
وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مَّوْزُونٍ |
well-balanced |
مَوْزُونٌ |
|
And those whose scales are light (7-9)
|
وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ |
be light |
خَفَّ-يَخِفُّ |
|
Then as for one whose scales are heavy (101-6)
|
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ |
be heavy |
ثَقُلَ-يَثْقُلُ |
|
And when it becomes heavy, they both invoke Allah, their Lord (7-189) |
فَلَمَّا أَثْقَلَت دَّعَوَا اللَّهَ رَبَّهُمَا |
grows heavy |
أَثْقَلَ-يُثْقِلُ |
|
And We have certainly established you upon the earth (7-10) |
وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ |
establish |
مَكَّنَ-يُمَكِّنُ |
|
and on their left(7-17)
|
وَعَن شَمَائِلِهِمْ |
left |
شِمَالٌ ج شَمَائِلُ |
|
And We called him from the side of the mount at right. (19-52)
|
وَنَادَيْنَاهُ مِن جَانِبِ الطُّورِ الْأَيْمَنِ |
right |
أَيْمَنٌ |
|
Those are the companions of the right.(90-18) |
أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ |
right side, good luck |
مَيْمَنَةٌ |
|
I will surely fill Hell with you, all together. (7-18) |
لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ |
fill up |
مَلَأَ-يَمْلَأُ |
|
On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" (50-30)
|
يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ امْتَلَأْتِ |
filled up |
اِمْتَلَأَ-يَمْتَلِئُ |
|
And [by] the moon when it becomes full (84-18) |
وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا اتَّسَقَ |
becomes full |
اِتَّسَقَ-يَتَّسِقُ |
|
and fill with it their bellies (37-66) |
فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ |
filler |
مَالِئٌ ج مَالِئُونَ |
|
And has cast out that within it and relinquished (84-4) |
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ |
Become empty |
تَخَلَّى-يَتَخَلَّى |
|
But Satan whispered to them (7-20)
|
فَوَسْوَسَ لَهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ |
whisper |
وَسْوَسَ-يُوَسْوِسُ (وَسْوَاسٌ) |
|
And if an evil suggestion comes to you from Satan (7-200) |
وَإِمَّا يَنزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغٌ |
to give evil suggestion |
نَزَغَ-يَنْزَغُ (نَزْغٌ) |
|
My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils (23-97)
|
رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ |
condemnation
|
هَمَزَةٌ ج هَمَزَاتٌ |
|
and they began to fasten together over themselves from the leaves of Paradise(7-22)
|
وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ الْجَنَّةِ |
began |
طَفِقَ-يَطْفَقُ |
|
and they had begun [the attack upon] you the first time (9-13) |
وَهُم بَدَءُوكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ |
to begin |
بَدَأَ-يَبْدَأُ |
|
how Allah begins creation and then repeats it (29-19)
|
كَيْفَ يُبْدِئُ اللَّهُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ |
to originate |
أَبْدَأَ-يُبْدِئُ |
|
A group He guided, and a group deserved error (7-30) |
فَرِيقًا هَدَىٰ وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الضَّلَالَةُ |
deserved |
حَقَّ-يَحِقُّ |
|
[Who is] obligated not to say about Allah except the truth.(7-105)
|
حَقِيقٌ عَلَىٰ أَن لَّا أَقُولَ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِلَّا الْحَقَّ |
obligated, fixed |
حَقِيقٌ |
|
When they have all overtaken one another therein. (7-38) |
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا ادَّارَكُوا فِيهَا جَمِيعًا |
combine/ handle |
تَدَارَكَ (ادَّارَكَ) |
|
until a camel enters into the eye of a needle (7-40) |
حَتَّىٰ يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِي سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِ |
hole |
سَمٌّ |
|
until a camel enters into the eye of a needle (7-40) |
حَتَّىٰ يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِي سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِ |
neddle |
خِيَاطٌ |
|
Then an announcer will announce among them, "The curse of Allah shall be upon the wrongdoers.(7-44) |
فَأَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ بَيْنَهُمْ أَن لَّعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ |
to announce |
أَذَّنَ-يُؤَذِّنُ |
|
And when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you (14-7) |
وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ |
proclaimed |
تَأَذَّنَ-يَتَأَذَّنُ |
|
And an announcement from Allah and His Messenger to the people (9-3) |
وَأَذَانٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ |
An announcement |
أَذَانٌ |
|
Then an announcer called out, "O caravan, indeed you are thieves." (12-70) |
ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ أَيَّتُهَا الْعِيرُ إِنَّكُمْ لَسَارِقُونَ |
announcer |
مُؤَذِّنٌ |
|
Blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds.(7-54) |
تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
blessed |
تَبَارَكَ-يَتَبَارَكُ |
|
proceeding by his command toward the land which We had blessed (21-81) |
تَجْرِي بِأَمْرِهِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا |
with abundance |
بَارَكَ-يُبَارِكُ |
|
chasing it rapidly (7-54) |
يَطْلُبُهُ حَثِيثًا |
seeikng |
طَلَبَ-يَطْلُبُ (طَلَبٌ) |
|
find out about Joseph and his brother (12-87)
|
فَتَحَسَّسُوا مِن يُوسُفَ وَأَخِيهِ |
inquire |
تَحَسَّسَ-يَتَحَسَّسُ |
|
|
فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا رَشَدًا |
promised, adopted |
تَحَرَّى-يَتَحَرَّى |
|
Weak are the pursuer and pursued. (22-73) |
ضَعُفَ الطَّالِبُ وَالْمَطْلُوبُ |
seeker |
طَالِبٌ |
|
Weak are the pursuer and pursued. (22-73) |
ضَعُفَ الطَّالِبُ وَالْمَطْلُوبُ |
Who is sought |
مَطْلُوبٌ |
|
when they have carried heavy rainclouds.(7-57) |
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَقَلَّتْ سَحَابًا ثِقَالًا |
heavy |
ثَقِيلٌ ج ثِقَالٌ |
|
So they are by debt burdened down? (68-46) |
فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ |
burdened |
مُثْقَلَةٌ ج (مُثْقَلُونَ) |
|
We will attend to you, O prominent beings. (55-31) |
سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِ |
carrier |
ثَقَلٌ |
|
when he covers her, she carries a light burden(7-189) |
فَلَمَّا تَغَشَّاهَا حَمَلَتْ حَمْلًا خَفِيفًا |
light |
خَفِيفٌ ج خِفَافٌ |
|
We drive them (raincloud) to a dead land(7-57) |
سُقْنَاهُ لِبَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ |
To drive |
سَاقَ-يَسُوقُ |
|
And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. (19-23) |
فَأَجَاءَهَا الْمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ |
Take out |
أَجَاءَ-يُجِيءُ |
|
Allah drives clouds (24-43) |
أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُزْجِي سَحَابًا |
drives |
زَجَا-يُزْجِي |
|
And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.(50-21) |
وَجَاءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ |
driver |
سَائِقٌ |
|
To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. (75-30) |
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمَسَاقُ |
Driving end |
مَسَاقٌ |
|
My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me. (27-19) |
رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ |
To grant power |
أَوْزَعَ |
|
Then do you wonder (7-63) |
أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ |
wondered |
عَجِبَ-يَعْجَبُ |
|
And you would remain in wonder (56-65) |
فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ |
wondering |
تَفَكَّهَ-يَتَفَكَّهُ |
|
We have heard an amazing Qur'an.(72-1) |
إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًا عَجَبًا |
wonder |
عَجَبٌ |
|
This is an amazing thing(11-72) |
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ |
wondrous |
عَجِيبٌ |
|
Indeed, this is a curious thing.(38-5) |
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيْءٌ عُجَابٌ |
impressive |
عجَابٌ |
|
|
|
robust |
بَصْطَةٌ |
|
settled you in the land(7-74) |
وَبَوَّأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ |
shelter |
بَوَّأَ-يُبَوِّئُ |
|
Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House. (14-37) |
رَّبَّنَا إِنِّي أَسْكَنتُ مِن ذُرِّيَّتِي بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِي زَرْعٍ عِندَ بَيْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِ |
settled |
أَسْكَنَ-يُسْكِنُ |
|
He has settled you in it. (11-61)
|
وَاسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ فِيهَا |
settled |
اِسْتَعْمَرَ-يَسْتَعْمِرُ |
|
So he intended to drive them from the land. (17-103) |
فَأَرَادَ أَن يَسْتَفِزَّهُم مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ |
Drive out |
اِسْتَفَزَّ-يَسْتَفِزُّ |
|
you take for yourselves palaces from its plains(7-74) |
تَتَّخِذُونَ مِن سُهُولِهَا قُصُورًا |
plain |
سَهْلٌ ج سُهُولٌ |
|
And suddenly they will be upon the earth's surface.(79-14) |
فَإِذَا هُم بِالسَّاهِرَةِ |
Flat |
سَاهِرَةٌ |
|
And He will leave the earth a level plain. (20-106) |
فَيَذَرُهَا قَاعًا صَفْصَفًا |
plane |
قَاعٌ |
|
And carve out homes in the mountains (7-74)
|
وَتَنْحِتُونَ الْجِبَالَ بُيُوتًا |
palace |
قَصْرٌ ج قُصُورٌ |
|
She was told, "Enter the palace."(27-44) |
قِيلَ لَهَا ادْخُلِي الصَّرْحَ |
palace |
صَرْحٌ |
|
And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses (26-129) |
وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ |
strongholds |
مَصْنَعٌ ج مَصَانٍعُ |
|
And carve out homes in the mountains. (7-74) |
وَتَنْحِتُونَ الْجِبَالَ بُيُوتًا |
Carve out |
نَحَتَ-يَنْحِتُ |
|
And Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley?(89-9) |
وَثَمُودَ الَّذِينَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ |
Cut, cut out smoothly |
جَابَ-يَجُوبُ |
|
So they hamstrung the she-camel. (7-77) |
فَعَقَرُوا النَّاقَةَ |
hamstrung |
عَقَرَ-يَعْقِرُ |
|
Bring about thy threats. (7-77) |
ائْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا |
threat |
أَوْعَدَ-يُوْعِدُ |
|
And they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled. (54-9) |
وَقَالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَازْدُجِرَ |
repelled |
ازْدَجَرَ-يَزْدَجِرُ |
|
That is for he who fears My position and fears My threat.(14-14) |
ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامِي وَخَافَ وَعِيدِ |
threaten |
وَعِيدٌ |
|
That in which there is deterrence. (54-4) |
مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ |
deterrence |
مُزْدَجَرٌ |
|
and suddenly it was a serpent, manifest.(7-107) |
فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِينٌ |
serpent |
ثُعْبَانٌ |
|
So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly.(20-20) |
فَأَلْقَاهَا فَإِذَا هِيَ حَيَّةٌ تَسْعَىٰ |
snake |
حَيَّةٌ |
|
Thereupon it was white for the observers. (7-108) |
فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاءُ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ |
observers |
نَاظِرٌ (نَاظِرَةٌ) ج نَاظِرُونَ |
|
and at once it devoured what they were falsifying.(7-117)
|
فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ |
swallow |
لَقِفَ-يَلْقَفُ |
|
O earth, swallow your water.(11-44) |
يَا أَرْضُ ابْلَعِي مَاءَكِ |
absorb |
بَلَعَ-يَبْلَعُ |
|
but will hardly [be able to] swallow it.(14-17) |
وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُ |
devour |
أَسَاغَ-يُسِيغُ |
|
Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy.(37-142) |
فَالْتَقَمَهُ الْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ |
devour |
اِلْتَقَمَ-يَلْتَقِمُ |
|
Our Lord, pour upon us patience .(7-126) |
رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ |
pour |
أَفْرَغَ-يُفْرِغُ |
|
And if a bad [condition] struck them, they saw an evil omen in Moses and those with him. (7-131) |
وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَطَّيَّرُوا بِمُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُ |
ascribe evil omens |
اِطَّيَّرَ-يَطَّيِّرُ |
|
They said, "Indeed, we consider you a bad omen. (36-18) |
قَالُوا إِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْ |
see evil omens |
تَطَيَّرَ-يَتَطَيَّرُ |
|
So We sent upon them the flood. (7-133) |
فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الطُّوفَانَ |
cataclysm |
طُوفَانٌ |
|
But they turned away, so We sent upon them the flood of the dam. (34-16) |
فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَيْلَ الْعَرِمِ |
flood |
سَيْلٌ |
|
So We sent upon them the flood and locusts and lice and frogs .(7-133) |
فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الطُّوفَانَ وَالْجَرَادَ وَالْقُمَّلَ وَالضَّفَادِعَ |
locusts |
جَرَادَةٌ ج جَرَادٌ |
|
So We sent upon them the flood and locusts and lice and frogs .(7-133) |
فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الطُّوفَانَ وَالْجَرَادَ وَالْقُمَّلَ وَالضَّفَادِعَ |
lice |
قُمَّلَةٌ ج قُمَّلٌ |
|
So We sent upon them the flood and locusts and lice and frogs .(7-133) |
فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الطُّوفَانَ وَالْجَرَادَ وَالْقُمَّلَ وَالضَّفَادِعَ |
frog |
ضَفَادِعُ |
|
His people were producing. (7-137) |
وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْرِشُونَ |
build |
عَرشَ-يَعْرِشُ |
|
O Haman, construct for me a tower. (40-36) |
يَا هَامَانُ ابْنِ لِي صَرْحًا |
construct |
بَنَى-يَبْنِي |
|
And We taught him the fashioning of coats of armor. (21-80) |
وَعَلَّمْنَاهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوسٍ لَّكُمْ |
workmanship |
صَنْعَةٌ |
|
For them are chambers, above them chambers built high. (39-20) |
لَهُمْ غُرَفٌ مِّن فَوْقِهَا غُرَفٌ مَّبْنِيَّةٌ |
built |
مَبْنِيَةٌ |
|
Indeed, those - destroyed is that in which they are [engaged](7-139) |
إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ مُتَبَّرٌ مَّا هُمْ فِيهِ |
destroyed |
مُتَبَّرٌ |
|
Indeed I think, O Pharaoh, that you are destroyed. (17-102) |
وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّكَ يَا فِرْعَوْنُ مَثْبُورًا |
eradicated |
مَثْبُورٌ |
|
So they were of those destroyed. (23-48)
|
فَكَانُوا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكِينَ |
Those who were demolished |
مُهْلَكٌ ج مُهْلَكُونَ |
|
And never would your Lord have destroyed the cities. (28-59) |
وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرَىٰ |
destroyer |
مُهْلِكٌ ج مُهْلِكُونَ |
|
If it should remain in place, then you will see Me. (7-143) |
فَإِنِ اسْتَقَرَّ مَكَانَهُ فَسَوْفَ تَرَانِي |
remaining fixed |
اِسْتَقَرَّ-يَسْتَقِرُّ |
|
And when [Solomon] saw it placed before him. (27-40) |
فَلَمَّا رَآهُ مُسْتَقِرًّا عِندَهُ |
placed |
مُسْتَقِرٌّ |
|
When his Lord manifested His glory on the Mount. (7-143) |
فَلَمَّا تَجَلَّىٰ رَبُّهُ لِلْجَبَلِ |
revealed |
تَجَلَّى |
|
He rendered it level. (7-143) |
جَعَلَهُ دَكًّا |
crushed |
دَكٌّ، دَكَّةٌ، دَكَّاءٌ (دَكَّ) |
|
And the mountains are broken down, crumbling. (56-5) |
وَبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّا |
crumbling |
بَسٌّ-يَبُسُّ (بَسَّ) |
|
That you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not. (27-18) |
لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَانُ وَجُنُودُهُ |
to be crushed |
حَطْمَةٌ، حُطَامٌ (حَطَمَ-يَحْطِمُ) |
|
And the mountains collapse in devastation. (19-90) |
وَتَخِرُّ الْجِبَالُ هَدًّا |
collapsed |
هَدٌّ |
|
And they say, "When we are bones and crumbled particles, will we be resurrected as a new creation?"(17-49) |
أَإِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا وَرُفَاتًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ |
crumbed into particles |
رُفَاتٌ |
|
and it (truth) destroys it (falsehood), and thereupon it departs (21-18) |
فَيَدْمَغُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ |
to break down head |
دَمَغَ-يَدْمَغُ |
|
And Moses fell unconscious. (7-143) |
وَخَرَّ مُوسَىٰ صَعِقًا |
unconscious |
صَعِقٌ (صَعِقَ-يَصْعَقُ) |
|
And when he awoke, he said, "Exalted are You! I have repented to You. (7-143) |
فَلَمَّا أَفَاقَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ |
Bring to consciousness |
أَفاقَ-يُفِيقُ |
|
And We wrote for him on the tablets.(7-145) |
وَكَتَبْنَا لَهُ فِي الْأَلْوَاحِ |
Tablet |
لَوْحٌ ج أَلْوَاحٌ |
|
And the people of Moses made, after [his departure], from their ornaments a calf . (7-148) |
وَاتَّخَذَ قَوْمُ مُوسَىٰ مِن بَعْدِهِ مِنْ حُلِيِّهِمْ عِجْلًا |
Ornaments |
حُلِّيٌّ ج حِلْيَةٌ |
|
And they will be adorned with bracelets of silver. (76-21) |
وَحُلُّوا أَسَاوِرَ مِن فِضَّةٍ |
adorned |
حَلَّى-يُحَلِّي |
|
An image having a lowing sound.(7-148) |
جَسَدًا لَّهُ خُوَارٌ |
lowing sound |
خُوَارٌ |
|
And when Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved.(7-150) |
وَلَمَّا رَجَعَ مُوسَىٰ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ غَضْبَانَ أَسِفًا |
angry |
غَضْبَانُ |
|
When he went off in anger. (21-87) |
إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا |
furious |
مُغَاضِبٌ |
|
And when Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved.(7-150) |
وَلَمَّا رَجَعَ مُوسَىٰ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ غَضْبَانَ أَسِفًا |
grieved |
أَسِفٌ |
|
And indeed, they are enraging us.(26-55) |
وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَائِظُونَ |
make very angry |
غَائِطٌ ج غَائِطُونَ |
|
And seized his brother by [the hair of] his head, pulling him toward him.(7-150) |
وَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِ أَخِيهِ يَجُرُّهُ إِلَيْهِ |
dragging |
جَرَّ-يَجُرُّ |
|
And relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them.(7-157)
|
وَيَضَعُ عَنْهُمْ إِصْرَهُمْ وَالْأَغْلَالَ الَّتِي كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ |
burden |
غُلٌّ ج أَغْلَالٌ |
|
Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him.(69-32) |
ثُمَّ فِي سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوهُ |

سِلْسِلَةٌ ج سَلَاسِلُ |
|
Indeed, with Us [for them] are shackles and burning fire(73-12) |
إِنَّ لَدَيْنَا أَنكَالًا وَجَحِيمًا |

نِكْلٌ ج أَنْكَالٌ |
|
You will see the criminals that Day bound together in shackles.(14-49) |
وَتَرَى الْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّقَرَّنِينَ فِي الْأَصْفَادِ |

صَفَدٌ ج أَصْفَادٌ |
|
You will see the criminals that Day bound together in shackles.(14-49) |
وَتَرَى الْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّقَرَّنِينَ فِي الْأَصْفَادِ |

مُقَرَّنٌ ج مُقَرَّنُونَ |
|
When their fish came to them openly on their sabbath day.(7-163) |
إِذْ تَأْتِيهِمْ حِيتَانُهُمْ يَوْمَ سَبْتِهِمْ |

حُوْتٌ ج حِيْتَانٌ |
|
And [mention] the man of the fish, when he went off in anger.(21-87) |
وَذَا النُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا |

نُوْنٌ |
|
But he detached himself from them.(7-175) |
فَانسَلَخَ مِنْهَا |

انْسَلَخَ-يَنْسَلِخُ |
|
That is what you were trying to avoid. (50-19) |
ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ |

حَادَ-يَحِيدُ |
|
And seized those who wronged, with a wretched punishment.(7-165) |
وَأَخَذْنَا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا بِعَذَابٍ |

بَئِيسٌ |
|
But he adhered to the earth (7-176) |
وَلَٰكِنَّهُ أَخْلَدَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ |

أَخْلَدَ-يُخْلِدُ |
|
So his example is like that of the dog.(7-176) |
فَمَثَلُهُ كَمَثَلِ الْكَلْبِ |

كَلْبٌ |
|
If you chase him, he pants, or if you leave him, he pants.(7-176) |
إِن تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْهِ يَلْهَثْ أَوْ تَتْرُكْهُ يَلْهَث |

لَهثَ-يَلْهَثُ |
|
By the racers, panting.(100-1) |
وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا |
panting |
ضَبْحٌ |
|
But those who deny Our signs - We will progressively lead them.(7-182) |
وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم |
Gradually leading |
اِسْتَدْرَجَ-يَسْتَدْرِجُ |
|
They ask you, about the Hour: when is its arrival? (7-187) |
يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا |
appointed time |
مُرْسَى |
|
They ask you as if you are familiar with it.(7-187) |
يَسْأَلُونَكَ كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَا |
well informed |
حَفِيٌّ |
|
There is in their companion no madness.(7-184) |
مَا بِصَاحِبِهِم مِّن جِنَّةٍ |
madness |
جِنَّهٌ |
|
Indeed, we would then be in error and madness.(54-24) |
إِنَّا إِذًا لَّفِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ |
madness, frenzy |
سُعُرٌ |
|
Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad.(26-27) |
إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ الَّذِي أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ |

مَجْنُونٌ |
|
Which of you is the afflicted with madness.(68-6) |
بِأَييِّكُمُ الْمَفْتُونُ |
Resked, crazy, mad |
مَفْتُونٌ |
|
If I had knowledge of the unseen, I should have multiplied all good (7-188) |
وَلَوْ كُنتُ أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ لَاسْتَكْثَرْتُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ |
multiplied |
اسْتَكْثَرَ-يَسْتَكْثِرُ |
|
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you.(102-1) |
أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ |
competition to increse the wealth |
تَكَاثُرٌ |
|
If you [believers] invite them to guidance, they will not follow you.(7-193) |
سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ أَدَعَوْتُمُوهُمْ أَمْ أَنتُمْ صَامِتُونَ |
silent |
صَامِتٌ ج صَامِتُونَ |
|
And when he covers her, she carries a light burden.(7-189) |
فَلَمَّا تَغَشَّاهَا حَمَلَتْ |
embryo |
حَمْلٌ ج أَحْمَالٌ |
|
Then they do not stop short. (7-202) |
ثُمَّ لَا يُقْصِرُونَ |
cease |
أَقْصَرَ-يُقْصِرُ |
|
This is enlightenment from your Lord.(7-203) |
هَٰذَا بَصَائِرُ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ |
enlightenment |
بَصِيرَةٌ ج بَصَائِرُ |
|
Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns.(50-8) |
تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ |
