And what will make you perceive that even if a sign came, they would not believe

(6-109)

وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْ أَنَّهَا إِذَا جَاءَتْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

perceive

أَشْعَرَ-يُشْعِرُ

And We gave understanding of the case to Solomon

(21-79)

فَفَهَّمْنَاهَا سُلَيْمَانَ

(to make) undetsand, comprehend, perceive

فَهَّمَ-يُفَهِّمُ

Inspiring to one another decorative speech in delusion

(6-112)

يُوحِي بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ زُخْرُفَ الْقَوْلِ غُرُورًا

adorned, decorative

زُخْرُفٌ

Indeed You have given Pharaoh and his establishment splendor

(10-88)

إِنَّكَ آتَيْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَأَهُ زِينَةً وَأَمْوَالًا

splendor

زِيْنَةٌ

who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance (19-74)

هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَاثًا وَرِئْيًا

[outward] appearance

رِءْيٌ

While it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?

(6-114)

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْكِتَابَ مُفَصَّلًا

In detail

مَفَصَّلٌج (مُفَصَّلَاتٌ)

And we have [now] reached our term, which you appointed for us.

(6-128)

وَبَلَغْنَا أَجَلَنَا الَّذِي أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا

to appoint

أَجَّلَ-يُؤَجِّلُ

If He wills, he can do away with you and give succession after you to whomever He wills (6-133)

وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِن بَعْدِكُم مَّا يَشَاءُ

grant sucession, to substitute

اِسْتَخْلَفَ-يَسْتَخْلِفُ

Spend out of that in which He has made you successors

(57-7)

وَأَنفِقُوا مِمَّا جَعَلَكُم مُّسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِيهِ

successor, substitute

مُسْتَخْلَفٌ ج  مُسْلَخْلَفُونَ

And He it is who causes gardens to grow, [both] trellised (6-141)

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَ جَنَّاتٍ مَّعْرُوشَاتٍ

bush, trellised

مَعْرُوشَةٌ ج مَعْرُوشَاتٌ

and give its due [zakah] on the day of its harvest

(6-141)

وَآتُوا حَقَّهُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِ

harvest

حَصَادٌ (حَصَدَ-يَحْصُدُ)

 

When they swore to cut its fruit in the [early] morning

(68-17)

إِذْ أَقْسَمُوا لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِحِينَ

to pluck fruits

صَرمَ-يَصْرِمُ

[Saying], "Go early to your crop if you would cut the fruit." (68-22)

أَنِ اغْدُوا عَلَىٰ حَرْثِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَارِمِينَ

(who) plucks the fruit

صَارِمٌ ج صَارِمُونَ

And of the grazing livestock are carriers [of burdens] and those [too] small (6-142)

وَمِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ حَمُولَةً وَفَرْشًا

burden bearing cattle

حَمُولَةٌ

So some of them they ride, and some of them they eat

(36-72)

فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ

ride

رَكُوبٌ

And of the grazing livestock are carriers [of burdens] and those [too] small (6-142)

وَمِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ حَمُولَةً وَفَرْشًا

(of small size cattle) meat, grament providing cattle

فَرْشٌ

Two(one pair) of sheep

(6-143)

مِّنَ الضَّأْنِ اثْنَيْنِ

sheep

ضَأْنٌ

He has certainly wronged you in demanding your ewe [in addition] to his ewes

(38-24)

لَقَدْ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعْجَتِكَ إِلَىٰ نِعَاجِهِ

sheep

نَعْجَةٌ ج نِعَاجٌ

And of the goats, two

(6-143)

وَمِنَ الْمَعْزِ اثْنَيْنِ

goat

مَعْزٌ

And I bring down leaves for my sheep (20-18)

وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِي

sheep/goat

غَنَمٌ

Or that which the wombs of the two females contain?

(6-143)

أَمَّا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ الْأُنثَيَيْنِ

contain

اِشْتَمَلَ-يَشْتَمِلُ

Have We not made the earth a container (77-25)

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا

container

كِفَاتٌ

And of the camels, two

(6-144)

وَمِنَ الْإِبِلِ اثْنَيْنِ

camel

إبِلٌ

Until a camel enters into the eye of a needle (7-40)

حَتَّىٰ يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِي سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِ

camel

جَمَلٌ ج جِمَالَةٌ

And for he who produces it is [the reward of] a camel's load, and I am responsible for it (12-72)

وَلِمَن جَاءَ بِهِ حِمْلُ بَعِيرٍ وَأَنَا بِهِ زَعِيمٌ

camel

بَعِيرٌ

This is the she-camel of Allah - [she is] to you a sign

(11-64)

هَٰذِهِ نَاقَةُ اللَّهِ لَكُمْ آيَةً

she-camel

نَاقَةٌ

And when full-term she-camels are neglected (81-4)

وَإِذَا الْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ

full-term she-camel

عِشَارٌ ج عُشَرَاءُ

You did not spur for it [in an expedition] any horses or camels (59-6)

فَمَا أَوْجَفْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ خَيْلٍ وَلَا رِكَابٍ

ride, camel

رِكَابٌ

They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass (22-27)

وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ يَأْتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ

lean camel

ضَامِرٌ

And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels (56-55)

فَشَارِبُونَ شُرْبَ الْهِيمِ

thirsty camel

هِيمٌ

Or blood spilled out (6-145)

أَوْ دَمًا مَّسْفُوحًا

poured forth, flowing

مَسْفُوحٌ

And water poured out

(56-31)

وَمَاءٍ مَّسْكُوبٍ

flowing, poured out

مَسْكُوبٌ

And to those who are Jews We forbade all animals with claws (6-146)

وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ هَادُوا حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِي ظُفُرٍ

nail, claw

ظُفْرٌ

And of the cattle and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat (6-146)

وَمِنَ الْبَقَرِ وَالْغَنَمِ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ شُحُومَهُمَا

fat

شَحْمٌ ج شُحُومٌ

Except what adheres to their backs or the entrails

(6-146)

إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتْ ظُهُورُهُمَا أَوِ الْحَوَايَا

entrails

حَوِيَّةٌ ج حَوَايَا

And are given to drink scalding water that will sever their intestines? (47-15)

وَسُقُوا مَاءً حَمِيمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَاءَهُمْ

intestines

أَمْعَاءٌ

So fulfill the measure and weight  (7-85)

فَأَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَالْمِيزَانَ

measure

كَيْلٌ (كَالَ-يَكِيلُ)

When they take a measure from people, take in full

(83-2)

الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ

to measure

اكْتَالَ-يَكْتِيلُ

give full measure and weight in justice (11-85)

أَوْفُوا الْمِكْيَالَ وَالْمِيزَانَ بِالْقِسْطِ

 

measurer, scale

 

مِكْيَالٌ

And everything with Him is by due measure (13-8)

وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِندَهُ بِمِقْدَارٍ

in due proportion

مِقْدَارٌ

So fulfill the measure and weight (7-85)

فَأَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَالْمِيزَانَ

scale

مِيْزَانٌ ج مَوَازِينُ

And give full measure when you measure, and weigh with an even balance (17-35)

وَأَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ إِذَا كِلْتُمْ وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ

the balance

قِسْطَاسٌ

Then We gave Moses the Scripture, making complete [Our favor] upon the one who did good (6-154)

ثُمَّ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ تَمَامًا عَلَى الَّذِي أَحْسَنَ

wholeness, integrity, complete, full

تَمَامٌ

No bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another

(6-164)

وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ

any bearer of burden

وَازِرَةٌ

But they will not carry anything of their sins

(29-12)

وَمَا هُم بِحَامِلِينَ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُم مِّن شَيْءٍ

carrier

حَامِلٌ ج حَامِلُونَ (حَامِلَاتٌ، حَمَّالَةٌ)
