By it Allah misleads many,and many Allah guides thereby (2-26)

يُضِلُّ بِهِ كَثِيرًا وَيَهْدِي بِهِ كَثِيرًا

abundant, plenty

كَثِيرٌ،كَثِيرَةٌ

Truly Allah has given you victory on many battle field 9:25

لَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ فِي مَوَاطِنَ كَثِيرَةٍ

enlargement,  development, abundant, plentiful,

كَثْرَةٌ

He says:I have wasted wealth in abundance 90:6

يَقُولُ أَهْلَكْتُ مَالًا لُّبَدًا

immense, sufficient,

لُبَدٌ

And you love wealth much love  (89: 20)

وَتُحِبُّونَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا

countless, profuse, boundless

جَمٌّ

And that if they should keep to the right way ,we would surely bestowed on them water in abundance 72:16

وَأَن لَّوِ اسْتَقَامُوا عَلَى الطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسْقَيْنَاهُم مَّاءًغَدَقًا

sufficient of rain, torrential, water in abundance,

غَدَ

And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water 78:14

وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُعْصِرَاتِ مَاءً ثَجَّاجًا

torrential

ثَجَّاجٌ

Allah hath Chosen him above you, and hath gifted him abundantly with knowledge and bodily prowess (2-247)

إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَاهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَزَادَهُ بَسْطَةً فِي الْعِلْمِ وَالْجِسْمِ

magnitude, enormity

بَسْطَةٌ

And eat both of you freely with pleasure and delight of things  therein as wherever you will 2:35

وَكُلَا مِنْهَا رَغَدًا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا

freely

رَغَدٌ

And you eat away the heritage,devouring indiscriminately 89:19

وَتَأْكُلُونَ التُّرَاثَ أَكْلًا لَّمًّا

infull, completely, absolutely

لَمٌّ

So We opened the gates of heaven with water pouring forth 54:11

فَفَتَحْنَا أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَاءٍ مُّنْهَمِر

downpour, downfall

مُنْهَمِرٌ

This is from from Allah,to purchase with it a little price 2:79

هَٰذَا مِْ عِندِ اللَّهِ لِيَشْتَرُوا بِهِ ثَمَنًا قَليلًا

little,few

قَلِيْلٌ

So He stayed in prison a few years 12:42

فَلَبِث فِي السِّجْنِ بِضْعَ سِنِين

several,any number between 3 to 9

بِضْعٌ

And we have brought but poor capital 12:88

وَجِئْنَا بِبِضَاعَةٍ مُّزْجَاةٍ

slight, insufficient, few, little, static cash

مُزْجَاةٌ

And that which is bad,brings forth nothing but a little with difficulty 7:58

وَالَّذِي خَبُثَ لَا يَخْرُجُ إِلَّا نَكِدًا

little, less, minimum

نَكِدٌ

Surely Allah does not do injustice to the weight of an atom 4:40

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ

ant,atom,molecule

ذَرَّةٌ

But then they would not give to people even a Naqira 4:53

فَإِذًا لَّا يُؤْتُونَ النَّاسَ نَقِيرًا

little portion

نَقِيرٌ

And you shall not be dealt with unjustly even equal to the Fatila 4:77

وَلَا تُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلًا

very little

فَتِيلٌ

And those ,whom you invoke or call upon instead of Allah,own not even a Qitmir 35:13

الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ مَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِن قِطْمِيرٍ

very few

قِمْطِيرٌ

Those who break Allah’s Covenant after ratifying it 2:27

الَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ اللَّهِ

who breaks covenant

نَقَضَ-يَنْقُضُ (نَقْضٌ)

But when We removed the torment from them,behold!They broke their covenant 43:50

فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ

break the oath, destroy, cut into pieces, stave in

نَكَثَ-يَنْكُثُ

Take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith,and don’t break your oath 38:44

وَخُذْ بِيَدِكَ ضِغْثًا فَاضْرِب بِّهِ وَلَا تَحْنَثْ

break the oath

حَنِثَ-يَحْنَثُ

They said:We broke not the promise to you,of our own will

20:87

قَالُوا مَا أَخْلَفْنَا مَوْعِدَكَ بِمَلْكِنَا

break the promise

أَخْلَفَ-يُخْلِفُ

So think not that Allah will fail to keep His promise to His Messengers 14:47

فَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْلِفَ وَعْدِهِ رُسُلَهُ

who fail to keep promise,

مُخْلِفٌ

Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah 33:23

مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ

take an oath,swear

عَاهَدَ-يُعَاهِدُ

And Allah’s covenant with which He bound you 5:7

وَمِيثَاقَهُ الَّذِي وَاثَقَكُم بِهِ

take an oath,

وَاثَقَ-يُوَاثِقُ

But Allah will punish you for your deliberate oaths 5:89

وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا عَقَّدتُّمُ الْأَيْمَانَ

consolidate, tied

عَقَّدَ-يُعَقِّدُ

We made a covenant with you on the right side of the Mount Tur 20:80

وَوَاعَدْنَاكُمْ جَانِبَ الطُّورِ الْأَيْمَنَ

adjuration

وَاعَدَ-يُوَاعِدُ

Even if ye had made a mutual appointment to meet, ye would certainly have failed in the appointment (8: 42)

وَلَوْ تَوَاعَدتُّمْ لَاخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِي الْمِيعَادِ

swear to each other

تَوَاعَدَ-يَتَوَاعَدُ

Those who break the covenant of Allah after its confirmation 2:27

الَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ اللَّهِ

vow,bond, agreement

عَهْدٌ (عَهِدَ-يَعْهَدُ)

Is he whom We have promised an excellent promise 28:61

أَفَمَن وَعَدْنَاهُ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ لَاقِيهِ

contract

وَعْدٌ،مَوْعِدَةٌ،مِيعَادٌ (وَعَدَ-يَعِدُ)

When We took your covenant :Shed not the blood of your people 2:84

وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَكُمْ لَا تَسْفِكُونَ دِمَاءَكُمْ

bond, covenant

مِيثَاقٌ،مَوْثِقٌ

O you who believe! Fulfill your obligations 5:1

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَوْفُوا بِالْعُقُودِ

bond, covenant

عَقْدٌ ج عُقُودٌ (عَقَدَ-يَعْقِدُ)

Give them such writing of emancipation,if you know that they are good and trustworthy 24:33

فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا

writing of the amount of expense of a slave in contract form

كَاتَبَ-يُكَاتِبُ

Of them some have fulfilled their obligations,and some of them are still waiting 33:23

فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَىٰ نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ

expiry, fate, termination

نَحْبٌ

With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties,either of kinship or of covenant 9:10

لَا يَرْقُبُونَ فِي مُؤْمِنٍ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً

treaty

ذِمَّةٌ

Allah said:Do you agree and will you take up My Covenant? 3:81

قَالَ أَأَقْرَرْتُمْ وَأَخَذْتُمْ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُمْ إِصْرِي

promise, burden

إِصْرٌ

And sever what Allah has ordered to be joined 2:27

وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ بِهِ أَن يُوصَلَ

cut down, behead

قَطَعَ-يَقْطَعُ

Then,when they saw him,they exalted him and cut their hands 12:31

فَلَمَّا رَأَيْنَهُ أَكْبَرْنَهُ وَقَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ

chop down

قَطَّعَ-يُقَطِّعُ

Now all relations between you and them have been cut off,and all that you used to claim has vanished from you 6:94

لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنكُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ

run off

تَقَطَّعَ-يَتَقَطَّعُ

And cut asunder what Allah has ordered to be joined,and make mischief in the land 2:27

وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ بِهِ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ

connnect

أَوْصَلَ-يُوصِلُ

And those who believe and whose offspring follow them in Faith,to them shall We join their offspring 52:21

وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ

append, join, connect

أَلْٰحَقَ-يُلْحِقُ

And they rejoice for the sake of those who behind them,have not yet joined them 3:170

وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِم مِّنْ خَلْفِهِمْ

associate, join, append

لَحِقَ-يَلْحَقُ

And He united their hearts 8:63

وَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ

bring together,congregate

أَلَّفَ-يُؤَلِّفُ

order,

أَمَرَ-يَأْمُرُ

He has enjoined on me Salat and Zakat,as long as i live

19:31

وَأَوْصَانِي بِالصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ مَا دُمْتُ حَيًّا

counsel,, order, advise

أَوْصَى-يُوصِي

And recommended one another to pity 90:17

وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْمَرْحَمَةِ

counsel one another, give a honest lesson

تَوَاصَى-يَتَوَاصَى

Verily,Allah commands that which he wills 5:1

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ

give a command, examine

حَكَمَ-يَحْكُمُ

In houses,which Allah has ordered to be raised and to be honoured 24:36

فِي بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ اللَّهُ أَن تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ

allow, order

أَذِنَ-يَأْذَنُ (إذْنٌ)

And their Lord calle out to them :Did i not forbid you that tree 7:22

وَنَادَاهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا أَلَمْ أَنْهَكُمَا عَن تِلْكُمَا الشَّجَرَةِ

forbid,  disallow

نَهَى-يَنْهَى

They used not to forbid one another from the Munkar which they committed 5:79

كَانُوا لَا يَتَنَاهَوْنَ عَن مُّنكَرٍ فَعَلُوهُ

forbid one another

تَنَاهَى-يَتَنَاهَى

Musa said:O Harun,what stopped you when you saw them going astray 20:92

قَالَ يَا هَارُونُ مَا مَنَعَكَ إِذْ رَأَيْتَهُمْ ضَلُّوا

forbid, defend

مَنَعَ-يَمْنَعُ

They are the ones who disbelieved and hindered you from Al-Masjid-al-Haram 48:25

هُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ

protect, restrain

صَدَّ-يَصُدُّ (صَدٌّ، صَدُودٌ)

do not prevent them from marrying their (former) husbands, if they mutually agree on equitable terms (2-232)

فَلَا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَن يَنكِحْنَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ إِذَا تَرَاضَوْا بَيْنَهُم بِالْمَعْرُوفِ

forbid, guard, make hardness

عَضَلَ-يَعْضُلُ

So He made them lag behind

9:46

فَثَبَّطَهُمْ

restrain, prevent,

ثَبَّطَ-يُثَبِّطُ

Allah already knows those among you who keep back

33:18

قَدْ يَعْلَمُ اللَّهُ الْمُعَوِّقِينَ مِنكُمْ

protector

مُعَقِّفٌ ج مُعَقِّفُونَ

It is they who are the losers (2-27)

أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ

damaged, vaned, ruinous

خَاسِرٌ (خَاسِرَةٌ) خَاسِرُونَ

How can ye reject the faith in Allah?- seeing that ye were without life (2-28)

كَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَكُنتُمْ أَمْوَاتًا فَأَحْيَاكُمْ

dead

مَيْتٌ ج أَمْوَاتٌ، مَوْتَى

He is the bringer forth the living from the dead 6:96

يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ

dead

مَيِّتٌ ج مَيِّتُونَ

until you become fatally ill or become of those who perish.  (12:85)

حَتَّىٰ تَكُونَ حَرَضًا أَوْ تَكُونَ مِنَ الْهَالِكِينَ

perish

هَالِكٌ ج هَالِكُونَ (هَلَكَ- يَهْلِكُ)

We made from water every living thing. (21: 30)

وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ

alive, immortal

حَيٌّ ج أَحْيَاءٌ

make alive

أَحْيَى- يُحْيِي

So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years ,then raised him up 2:259

فَأَمَاتَهُ اللَّهُ مِائَةَ عَامٍ ثُمَّ بَعَثَهُ

resurrection, send

بَعَثَ - يَبْعَثُ (بَعْثٌ)

Then,when it is His Will resurrect him again

80:22

ثُمَّ إِذَا شَاءَ أَنشَرَهُ

raised up, vitalize

أَنْشَر-يُنْشِرُ (نُشُورٌ)

Look at the bones,how We bring them together 2:259

وَانظُرْ إِلَى الْعِظَامِ كَيْفَ نُنشِزُهَا ثُمَّ نَكْسُوهَا لَحْمًا

take up, make a frame

أَنْشَزَ-يُنْشِزُ

Truly, He Who gives life to the (dead) earth can surely give life to (men) who are dead (41-39)

إِنَّ الَّذِي أَحْيَاهَا لَمُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ

certainly who gives life

مُحْيٍ

And that is He Who causes death and gives life

53:44

وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحْيَا

cause to die

أَمَاتَ-يُمِيتُ

And Allah has created you and then He will cause you to die

16:70

وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ

cause to die

تَوَفَّى-يتَوَفَّى (مُتَوَفٍّ)

And He directed Himself to the heaven,so He made them complete seven heavens 2:29

ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَسَوَّاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ

concentrate, go avobe, come to rest

اِسْتَوَى-يَسْتَوِي

complete, appropriate

سَوَّى- يُسَوِّي

The Work of Allah ,Who perfected all things

27:88

صُنْعَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي أَتْقَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ

fortification, consolidate

أَتْقَنَ- يُتْقِنُ

And when your Lord said to the angels:verily,I am going to place generations after generations on earth 2:30

وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً

angel

مَلَكٌ ج مَلاَئِكَةٌ

planner, founder, composer

جَاعِلٌ ج جَاعِلُونَ

represent, follow, late comer

خَلِيْفَةٌ ج خَلاَئِفُ، خُلَفَاءُ

(خَلَفَ-يَخْلَفُ)

Then angels said:Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood 2:30

قَالُوا أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ الدِّمَاءَ

secrete

سَفَكَ-يَسْفِكُ

blood

دَمٌ ج دِمَآءٌ

Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare the Praises and Glory of Allah (62-1)

يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ

praise

سَبَّحَ-يُسَبِّحُ (تَسْبِيحٌ)

Had he not been of them who glorify Allah 37:143

 مِنَ الْمُسَبِّحِينَ

praise

مُسَبِّحٌ ج مُسَبِّحُونَ

While we glorify You with praises and thanks and sanctify You 2:30

وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ

glorify

قَدَّسَ-يُقَدِّسُ

O you mountains,Glorify with Daud,And you birds also 34:10

يَا جِبَالُ أَوِّبِي مَعَهُ وَالطَّيْرَ

come back, keep praise

أَوَّبَ-يُؤَوِّبُ
