Who made the earth a resting place for you and the heaven a canopy (2-22)

الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ فِرَاشًا وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً

resting place

فِرَاشٌ ج فُرُشٌ

Have We not made the earth as a bed? 78:6

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا

مِهَادٌ

There sides forsake their beds 32:16

تَتَجَافَىٰ جُنُوبُهُمْ عَنِ الْمَضَاجِعِ

bed

مَضْجَعٌ ج مَضَاجِعُ

They will recline therein on raised thrones 18:31

مُّتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ

throne

أَرِيكَةٌ ج أَرَائِكُ

And thrones on which they could recline 43:34

وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَابًا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِئُونَ

bed

سَرِيرٌ ج سُرُرٌ

And he raised his parents upon the throne and they fell down in prostration before him 12:100

وَرَفَعَ أَبَوَيْهِ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ وَخَرُّوا لَهُ سُجَّدًا

throne

عَرْشٌ ج عُرُوشٌ

And certainly We tried Sulaiman,and we put on his throne a body 38:34

وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا سُلَيْمَانَ وَأَلْقَيْنَا عَلَىٰ كُرْسِيِّهِ جَسَدًا

throne

كُرْسِيٌّ

canopy

بِنَاءٌ

And We have made the heaven a guarded canopy 21:32

وَجَعَلْنَا السَّمَاءَ سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوظًا

canopy

سَقْفٌ ج سُقُفٌ، سُقُوفٌ

He raised high its height,then put it into a right good state 79:28

رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّاهَا

roof, canopy

سَمْكٌ

And He sent down water from the sky (2-22)

وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً

water

مَاءٌ

And brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you (2-22)

فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ

brought, fetched

أَخْرَجَ - يُخْرِجُ (إخْرَاجٌ)

And take out their treasure 18:82

وَيَسْتَخْرِجَا كَنزَهُمَا

take out

اسْتَخْرَجَ-يَسْتَخْرِجُ

And enter your hand into the opening of your bosom 27:12

وَأَدْخِلْ يَدَكَ فِي جَيْبِكَ

implant

أَدْخَلَ-يُدْخِلُ

Allah causes the night to enter into the day and causes the day to enter into the night 22:61

وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ

enter

أَوْلَجَ - يُولِجُ

fruits

ثَمَرَةٌ، ثَمَرٌ ج ثَمَرَاتٌ

For you therein are many fruits 43:73

لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ كَثِيرَةٌ

fruits

فَاكِهَةٌ ج فَوَاكِهُ

The fruits of the two gardens shall be within reach 55:54

وَجَنَى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ

pair,both

جَنَى

And the bunches of fruit thereof will hang low within their reach 76:14

وَذُلِّلَتْ قُطُوفُهَا تَذْلِيلًا

bunch of fruit

قِطْفٌ ج  قُطُوفٌ

Then do not set up rivals unto allah while you know 2:22

فَلَا تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ أَندَادًا

rivals, partner

نِدٌّ ج أَنْدَادٌ

Allah puts forth a similitude:a man belonging to many partners disputing to one another

39:29

ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا رَّجُلًا فِيهِ شُرَكَاءُ مُتَشَاكِسُونَ

partner

شَرِيكٌ ج شُرَكَاءُ

And there is none comparable unto him112:4

وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

like, comparable

كُفُوٌ

And,verily,many partners oppress one another 38:24

وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الْخُلَطَاءِ لَيَبْغِي بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ

partner

خَلِيطٌ ج خُلَطَاءُ

And if you are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down to our Slave(2-23)

وَإِن كُنتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا

slave

عَبْدٌ ج عِبَادٌ، عَبِيدٌ

The wife of Al Aziz is seeking to seduce her slave 12:30

امْرَأَتُ الْعَزِيزِ تُرَاوِدُ فَتَاهَا عَن نَّفْسِهِ

slave, servent

فَتًى ج فِتْيَةٌ

And there will go round boy servent of theirs

52:24

وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ

boy, servent

غُلَامٌ ج غِلْمَانٌ

And marry those among you who are single,and also marry pious fit capable ones of your male slaves and maid servents 24:32

وَأَنكِحُوا الْأَيَامَىٰ مِنكُمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَائِكُمْ

servent, slave

أَمَةٌ ج إِمَاءٌ

They may wed believing girls from among those whome your right hands possess

4:25

فَمِن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُم مِّن فَتَيَاتِكُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ

slave, helper

فَتَاةٌ ج  فَتَيَاتٌ

the free for the free, the slave for the slave, (2-178)

الْحُرُّ بِالْحُرِّ وَالْعَبْدُ بِالْعَبْدِ

free, clear

حُرٌّ

Then produce a Surah of the like thereof (2-23)

فَأْتُوا بِسُورَةٍ مِّن مِّثْلِهِ

surah of Quran

سُوْرَةٌ ج سُوَرٌ

And call your witnesses besides Allah,if you are truthful  (2-23)

وَادْعُوا شُهَدَاءَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

call, appeal

دَعَا- يَدْعُو (دُعَاءٌ، دَعْوَةٌ، دَعْوَى)

then the angels called him,while he was standing in prayer in Al~Mihrab 3:39

فَنَادَتْهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي فِي الْمِحْرَابِ

invitation,

نَادَى-يُنَادِي (نِدَاءٌ)

Then they called out one to another as soon as the morning broke 68:21

فَتَنَادَوْا مُصْبِحِينَ

invoke

تَنَادَى- يَتَنَادَى (تَنَادٍ)

And as one who invites to Allah by His leave,and as a lamp spreading light 33:46

وَدَاعِيًا إِلَى اللَّهِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَسِرَاجًا مُّنِيرًا

caller

دَاعٍ

Our Lord:Surely we have heard a preacher calling to the faith 3:193

رَّبَّنَا إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي لِلْإِيمَانِ

caller, addresser

مُنَادٍ

Who answers the distressed one when he calls upon Him and removes the evil 27:62

أَمَّن يُجِيبُ الْمُضْطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكْشِفُ السُّوءَ

answer

أَجَابَ-يُجِيبُ

So We answered him 21:76

فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ

answer

اسْتَجَابَ -يَسْتَجِيبُ

Surely my Lord is Nigh,answering 11:61

إِنَّ رَبِّي قَرِيبٌ مُّجِيبٌ

accepter

مُجِيبٌ

And call your witnesses besides Allah,if you are truthful

 (2-23)

وَادْعُوا شُهَدَاءَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

witness

شَهِيدٌ ج شُهَدَاءُ

And Allah suffices as a Guardian 4:45

وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ نَصِيرًا

guardian, helper

نَاصِرٌ،نَصِيرٌ ج نَاصِرُونَ، أَنْصَارٌ

And give to me aider from my family 20:29

وَاجْعَل لِّي وَزِيرًا مِّنْ أَهْلِي

aider,helper

وَزِيرٌ

I will assist you with a thousand of the angels following one another 8:9

أَنِّي مُمِدُّكُم بِأَلْفٍ مِّنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُرْدِفِينَ

aider, supporter

مُمِدٌّ

Nor could I take those who lead astray for aiders 18:51

وَمَا كُنتُ مُتَّخِذَ الْمُضِلِّينَ عَضُدًا

aider, upholder

عَضُدٌ

Nor there is for Him any supporter from among them 34:22

وَمَا لَهُ مِنْهُم مِّن ظَهِيرٍ

helper, supporter

ظَهِيرٌ

So send him with me as a helper to confirm me 28:34

فَأَرْسِلْهُ مَعِيَ رِدْءًا يُصَدِّقُنِي

assistant

رِدْءٌ

And they have taken gods beside Allah,that they should be to them a source of strength  19:81

وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لِّيَكُونُوا لَهُمْ عِزًّا

helper

عِزٌّ

Then you shall not find any aider against Us in the matter 17:69

ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُوا لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا بِهِ تَبِيعًا

supporter, assistant

تَبِيعٌ

I can’t be your aider 14:22

مَّا أَنَا بِمُصْرِخِكُمْ

aider

مُصْرِخٌ، صَرِيخٌ

truthful

صَادِقٌ ج صَادِقُونَ (صَادِقَاتٌ)

And his mother was a truthful woman 5:75

وَأُمُّهُ صِدِّيقَةٌ

truthful, pious

صِدِّقٌ (صِدِّقَةٌ) ج صِدِّقُونَ

Those who spoke the truth had become manifest to you and you had known the liars 9:43

حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَتَعْلَمَ الْكَاذِبِينَ

liar

كَاذِبٌ ج كَاذِنُونَ

Nay he is an insolent liar 54:25

بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌ

liar

كَذَّابٌ

They descend upon every lying,sinful one 26:222

تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ

critic ,liar

أَفَّاكٌ

You are nothing but forgers 11:50

إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُفْتَرُونَ

forger

مُفْتَرٍ ج مُفْتَرُونَ

But if you do it not and never shall you do it (2-24)

فَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُوا وَلَن تَفْعَلُوا فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ

do

فَعَلَ- يَفْعَلُ (فِعْلٌ،فَعْلَةٌ)

And as for him who believes and does good 18:88

وَأَمَّا مَنْ آمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا

do work

عَمِلَ-يَعْمَلُ (عَمَلٌ ج أَعْمَالٌ)

Or do those who earn evil deeds think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe 45:21

أَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِينَ اجْتَرَحُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ أَن نَّجْعَلَهُمْ

turn over, commit

اِجْتَرَحَ- يَجْتَرِحُ

Except in regard to what your hearts deliberately intend

33:5

وَلَٰكِن مَّا تَعَمَّدَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ

willingly do something

تَعَمَّدَ- يَتَعَمَّدُ

Evil indeed is that which they have been performing 5:63

لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ

do, make

صَنَعَ-يَصْنَعُ (صُنْعٌ)

And never say of anything ,I shall do such tomorow 18:23

وَلَا تَقُولَنَّ لِشَيْءٍ إِنِّي فَاعِلٌ ذَٰلِكَ غَدًا

lord, creator

فَاعِلٌ، فَعَّالٌ ج فَاعِلُونَ

O my people,act according to your ability,I too am acting 6:135

يَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِلٌ

observer, industrious

عَامِلٌ ج عَامِلُونَ

That they may be well pleased with it and that they earn what they are going to earn  6:113

وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ وَلِيَقْتَرِفُوا مَا هُم مُّقْتَرِفُونَ

achievers

مُقْتَرِفٌ ج مُقْتَرِفُونَ

hell

النَّارُ

O our Lord !turn away from us the punishment of hell 25:65

رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ

hell

جَهَنَّمُ

Then surely the hell,that is the abode 79:39

فَإِنَّ الْجَحِيمَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَىٰ

burning fire

جَحِيمٌ

Test the touch of hell

54:48

ذُوقُوا مَسَّ سَقَرَ

hell

سَقَرٌ

A party shall be in the garden and another party in the burning fire 42:7

فَرِيقٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَفَرِيقٌ فِي السَّعِيرِ

burning fire

السَعِيرُ

He will have his home in Hawiyah 101:9

فَأُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌ

name of hell

هَاوِيةٌ

Verily he will be thrown into the crushing Fire 104:4

لَيُنبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ

crushing fire

حُطَمَةٌ

As he got your parents out of Paradise 7:27

كَمَا أَخْرَجَ أَبَوَيْكُم مِّنَ الْجَنَّةِ يَنزِعُ عَنْهُمَا

paradise

جَنَّةٌ ج جَنَّاتٌ

Their place of entertainment shall be the gardens of paradise 18:107

كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ الْفِرْدَوْسِ نُزُلًا

name of a zannat

الفِرْدَوْسُ

Our Lord!and make them enter the gardens of perpetuity 40:8

رَبَّنَا وَأَدْخِلْهُمْ جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ

name of zannat, permanant residence

عَدْنٌ

He should be made to enter the garden of bliss 70:38

أَن يُدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٍ

blissful paradise

نَعِيمٌ

Then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones 2:24

فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّتِي وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ

fuel

وَقُودٌ

These are the firewood of hell 21:98

حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ

firewood

حَصَبٌ

And as to the deviators,they are fuel of hell 72:15

وَأَمَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا

firewood

حَطَبٌ

As if they were big pieces of wood clad with garments

63:4

كَأَنَّهُمْ خُشُبٌ مُّسَنَّدَةٌ

wood

خَشَبٌ ج خُشُبٌ

Or I may bring to you a burning fire brand  28:29

أَوْ جَذْوَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ

burning fire

جَذْوَةٌ

stone

حَجَرٌ ج حِجَارَةٌ

And Thamud people who cut out rocks in the valley   89:9

وَثَمُودَ الَّذِينَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ

rock

صَخْرٌ، صَخْرَةٌ

So his parable is as the parable of a smooth rock with earth upon it 2:264

فَمَثَلُهُ كَمَثَلِ صَفْوَانٍ عَلَيْهِ تُرَابٌ

smooth rock

صَفْوَانٌ

It is prepared for the unbelievers (2-24)

أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِرِينَ

prepare

أَعَدَّ- يُعِدُّ (عُدَّةٌ)

Verily I have prepared for the zalimun ,a fire whose walls will be surrounding (18:29)

إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ نَارًا

prepare, make

أَعْتَدَ-يُعْتِدُ

Not a word does he utter,but there is a watcher by him ready  50:18

مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ

ready, present

عَتِيدٌ

And cups set at hand (88:14)

وَأَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوعَةٌ

placed, settled

مَوْضُوعَةٌ
