and those who seek forgiveness before dawn. (3-17) |
وَالْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ بِالْأَسْحَارِ |
who seek forgiveness |
مُسْتَغْفِرٌ ج مُسْتَغْفِرُونَ |
And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, (51-18) |
وَبِالْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ |
ask forgiveness |
اِسْتَغْفَرَ-يَسْتَغْفِرُ (اسْتِغْفَارٌ) |
then upon you is only the [duty of] notification. (3-20) |
فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلَاغُ |
notify |
بَلَاغٌ |
and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. (5-67) |
وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ |
convey |
بَلَّغَ-يُبَلِّغُ |
"O my people, I had certainly conveyed to you the messages of my Lord (7-93) |
لَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِسَالَاتِ رَبِّي |
convey |
أَبْلَغَ-يُبْلِغُ |
And We have [repeatedly] conveyed to them the Qur'an. (28-51) |
وَلَقَدْ وَصَّلْنَا لَهُمُ الْقَوْلَ |
[repeatedly] conveyed |
وَصَّلَ-يُوَصِّلُ |
O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, (3: 26) |
اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ |
o Allah |
اللهُمَّ |
and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. (3-26) |
وَتَنزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَاءُ |
take away |
نَزَعَ-يَنْزَعُ |
You honor whom You will. (3-26) |
وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَاءُ |
honor |
أَعَزَّ-يُعِزُّ |
And We have certainly honored the children of Adam. (17-70) |
وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ |
honor |
كَرَّمَ-يُكَرِّمُ |
And he whom Allah humiliates - for him there is no bestower of honor. (22-18) |
وَمَن يُهِنِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِن مُّكْرِمٍ |
bestower of honor |
مُكْرِمٌ |
And You take sovereignty away from whom You will. (3-26) |
وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَاءُ |
take sovereignty away |
أَذَلَّ-يُذِلُّ |
or suppress them. (3-127) |
أَوْ يَكْبِتَهُمْ |
suppress |
كَبَتَ-يَكْبِتُ |
and do not disgrace me concerning my guests. (11-78) |
وَلَا تُخْزُونِ فِي ضَيْفِي |
disgrace |
أَخْزَى-يُخْزِي |
[Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. (15-68) |
فَلَا تَفْضَحُونِ |
shame |
فَضحَ-يَفْضَحُ |
"My Lord has humiliated me." (89-16) |
رَبِّي أَهَانَنِ |
humiliate |
أَهَانَ-يُهِينُ |
and that Allah will disgrace the disbelievers. (9-2) |
وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْزِي الْكَافِرِينَ |
who disgraces |
مُخْزٍ |
The Day every soul will find what it has done of good present [before it] (3-30) |
يَوْمَ تَجِدُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مُّحْضَرًا |
present |
مُحْضَرٌ ج مُحْضَرُونَ |
And each [day of] drink attended [by turn]. (54-28) |
كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُّحْتَضَرٌ |
attend |
مُحْتَضَرٌ |
My Lord, indeed I have pledged to You what is in my womb, consecrated [for Your service], (3-35) |
رَبِّ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لَكَ مَا فِي بَطْنِي مُحَرَّرًا |
consecrated [for Your service |
مُحَرَّرٌ |
But when she delivered her, (3-36) |
فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْهَا |
deliver |
وَضَعَ- يَضَعُ |
and [for] her descendants from Satan, (3-36) |
مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ |
descendants |
رَجِيمٌ |
Get out of Paradise, reproached and expelled. (7-18) |
اخْرُجْ مِنْهَا مَذْءُومًا مَّدْحُورًا |
expel |
مَدْحُورٌ |
and put her in the care of Zechariah. (3-37) |
وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا |
in the care of |
كَفَّلَ- يُكَفِّلُ |
as to which of them should be responsible for Mary. (3-44) |
أَيُّهُمْ يَكْفُلُ مَرْيَمَ |
responsible |
كَفَلَ-يَكْفُلُ |
'Entrust her to me,' (38-23) |
أَكْفِلْنِيهَا |
entrust |
أَكْفَلَ-يُكْفِلُ |
Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the prayer chamber, he found with her provision. (3-37) |
كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا الْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِندَهَا رِزْقًا |
prayer chamber |
مِحْرَابٌ ج مَحَارِيبُ |
"Indeed, Allah gives you good tidings of John, confirming a word from Allah and [who will be] honorable, abstaining [from women], (3-39) |
أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحْيَىٰ مُصَدِّقًا بِكَلِمَةٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَسَيِّدًا وَحَصُورًا |
abstaining |
حَصُورٌ |
and my wife is barren. (3-40) |
وَامْرَأَتِي عَاقِرٌ |
barren |
عَاقِرٌ |
Said, "[I am] a barren old woman!" (51-29) |
قَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ |
barren |
عَقِيمٌ |
That is from the news of the unseen (3-44) |
ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ أَنبَاءِ الْغَيْبِ |
news |
نَبَأٌ ج أَنْبَاءٌ |
Perhaps I will bring you from there [some] information (28-29) |
لَّعَلِّي آتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ |
information |
خَبَرٌ ج أَخْبَارٌ |
which We reveal to you, (3-44) |
نُوحِيهِ إِلَيْكَ |
reveal |
أَوْحَى-يُوْحِي |
And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness, (91-8) |
فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا |
inspire |
أَلْهَمَ-يُلْهِمُ |
And, [O Muhammad], do not hasten with [recitation of] the Qur'an before its revelation is completed to you, (20-114) |
وَلَا تَعْجَلْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُقْضَىٰ إِلَيْكَ وَحْيُهُ |
revelation |
وَحْيٌ |
And you were not with them when they cast their pens (3-44) |
وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يُلْقُونَ أَقْلَامَهُمْ |
pens |
قَلَمٌ ج أَقْلَامٌ |
indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, (5-90) |
إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنصَابُ وَالْأَزْلَامُ رِجْسٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ |
divining arrows |
أَزْلَامٌ |
distinguished in this world and the Hereafter. (3-45) |
وَجِيهًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ |
distinguished |
وَجِيهٌ |
Rather, they are [but] honored servants. (21-26) |
بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُونَ |
honored |
مُكْرَمٌ ج مُكْرَمُونَ |
[It is recorded] in honored sheets, (80-13) |
فِي صُحُفٍ مُّكَرَّمَةٍ |
honored |
مُكَرَّمٌ |
By the honored Qur'an... (50-1) |
وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ |
honored |
مَجِيدٌ |
and he will abide therein humiliated - (25-69) |
وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِ مُهَانًا |
humiliated |
مُهَانٌ |
[Allah] said, "Get out of Paradise, reproached and expelled. (7-18) |
قَالَ اخْرُجْ مِنْهَا مَذْءُومًا مَّدْحُورًا |
reproached |
مَذْءُومٌ |
and we will surely expel them therefrom in humiliation, and they will be debased." (27-37) |
وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُم مِّنْهَا أَذِلَّةً وَهُمْ صَاغِرُونَ |
humiliation |
صَاغِرٌ ج صَاغِرُونَ |
so we could have followed Your verses before we were humiliated and disgraced. (20-134) |
فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن نَّذِلَّ وَنَخْزَىٰ |
Disgraced |
خَزِيَ-يَخْزَى |
so we could have followed Your verses before we were humiliated and disgraced. (20-134) |
فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن نَّذِلَّ وَنَخْزَىٰ |
Humiliated |
ذَلَّ-يَذِلُّ |
He will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity. (3-46) |
وَيُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا |
cradle |
مَهْدٌ |
|
|
in maturity |
كَهْلٌ |
I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, (3-49) |
أَنِّي أَخْلُقُ لَكُم مِّنَ الطِّينِ كَهَيْئَةِ الطَّيْرِ |
form |
هَيْئَةٌ |
In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. (82-8) |
فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَاءَ رَكَّبَكَ |
form,structure |
صُوْرَةٌ ج صُوَرٌ |
We have certainly created man in the best of stature; (95-4) |
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ |
stature |
تَقْوِيمٌ |
We have created them and strengthened their forms, (76-28) |
نَّحْنُ خَلَقْنَاهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَا أَسْرَهُمْ |
form |
أَسْرٌ |
then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed (22-5) |
ثُمَّ مِن مُّضْغَةٍ مُّخَلَّقَةٍ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ |
formed structure |
مُخَلَّقَةٌ |
then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah. (3-49) |
ففَأَنفُخُ فِيهِ فَيَكُونُ طَيْرًا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ |
breath |
نَفَخَ-يَنْفُخُ |
And when the trumpet is blown, (74-8) |
فَإِذَا نُقِرَ فِي النَّاقُورِ |
blow |
نَقَرَ |
Then when the Horn is blown with one blast (69-13) |
فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ |
blow |
نَفْخَةٌ |
And from the evil of the blowers in knots. (113-4) |
وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ |
blower |
نَفَّثَةٌ ج نَفَّثَاتٌ |
And I cure the blind and the leper, (3-49) |
وَأُبْرِئُ الْأَكْمَهَ وَالْأَبْرَصَ |
leper |
أَبْرَصُ |
and what you store in your houses. (3-49) |
وَمَا تَدَّخِرُونَ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ |
store |
اِدَّخَرَ-يَدَّخِرُ |
And those who hoard gold and silver. (9-34) |
وَالَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ الذَّهَبَ وَالْفِضَّةَ |
hoard |
كَنَزَ-يَكْنِزُ |
And the disbelievers planned, but Allah planned. (3-54) |
وَمَكَرُوا وَمَكَرَ اللَّهُ |
plan |
مَكَرَ-يَمْكُرُ |
or they will contrive against you a plan. (12-5) |
فَيَكِيدُوا لَكَ كَيْدًا |
contrive a plan |
كَادَ-يَكِيدُ |
Indeed, this is a conspiracy. (7-123) |
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَمَكْرٌ |
conspiracy |
مَكْرٌ |
Indeed, it is of the women's plan. (12-28) |
إِنَّ كَيْدَكُنَّ عَظِيمٌ |
plan |
كَيْدٌ |
And Allah is the best of planners. (3-54) |
وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ |
planner |
مَاكِرٌ ج مَاكِرُونَ |
But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan. (52-42) |
فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ |
object of a plan |
مَكِيدٌ ج مَكِيدُونَ |
then supplicate earnestly [together] and invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars [among us]." (3-61) |
ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَل لَّعْنَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْكَاذِبِينَ |
supplicate |
ابْتَهَلَ- يَبْتَهِلُ |
Indeed, this is the true narration. (3-62) |
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْقَصَصُ الْحَقُّ |
narration |
قَصَصٌ |
They say, "Legends of the former peoples," (16-24) |
قَالُوا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ |
legends |
أَسَاطِيرُ |
And among them is he who, if you entrust him with a [single] silver coin, he will not return it to you (3-75) |
وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ إِن تَأْمَنْهُ بِدِينَارٍ لَّا يُؤَدِّهِ |
স্বর্ণমুদ্রা |
دِيْنَارٌ |
And they sold him for a reduced price - a few dirhams - (12-20) |
وَشَرَوْهُ بِثَمَنٍ بَخْسٍ دَرَاهِمَ مَعْدُودَةٍ |
dirham |
دِرْهَمٌ ج دَرَاهِمُ |
So send one of you with this silver coin of yours to the city (18-19) |
فَابْعَثُوا أَحَدَكُم بِوَرِقِكُمْ هَٰذِهِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ |
coin |
وَرِقٌ |
alter the Scripture with their tongues. (3-78) |
يَلْوُونَ أَلْسِنَتَهُم بِالْكِتَابِ |
alter |
لَوَى-يَلْوُونَ (لَيٌّ) |
they turn their heads (63-5) |
لَوَّوْا رُءُوسَهُمْ |
turn |
لَوَّى-يُلَوِّي |
Then he frowned and scowled; (74-22) |
ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَ |
scowl |
بَسَرَ-يَبْسُرُ |
Indeed, those who inject deviation into Our verses. (41-40) |
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُلْحِدُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا |
deviation |
أَلْحَدَ-يُلْحِدُ (إلْحَادٌ) |
alter the Scripture with their tongues. (3-78) |
يَلْوُونَ أَلْسِنَتَهُم بِالْكِتَابِ |
tongue |
لِسَانٌ ج أَلْسِنَةٌ |
It is not for a human [prophet] that Allah should give him the Scripture and authority and prophethood and then he would say to the people, "Be servants to me rather than Allah," (3-79) |
مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُؤْتِيَهُ اللَّهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا عِبَادًا لِّي |
prophethood |
نُبُوَّةٌ |
Indeed, those who reject the message after their belief and then increase in disbelief - (3-90) |
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ ثُمَّ ازْدَادُوا كُفْرًا |
increase |
اِزْدَادَ-يَزْدِيدُ |
will not increase with Allah. (30-39) |
فَلَا يَرْبُو عِندَ اللَّهِ ۖ |
increase |
رَبَا-يَرْبُو |
Although you see me less than you in wealth and children, (18-39) |
أَنَا أَقَلَّ مِنكَ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا |
see less |
قَلَّ |
and what the wombs lose [prematurely] or exceed. (13-8) |
وَمَا تَغِيضُ الْأَرْحَامُ وَمَا تَزْدَادُ |
lose |
غَاضَ-يَغِيضُ |
[whole] capacity of the earth in gold (3-91) |
مِّلْءُ الْأَرْضِ ذَهَبًا |
[whole] capacity |
مِلْءٌ |
And a full cup. (78-34) |
وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا |
full |
دِهَاقٌ |
indeed Hell will be the recompense of you - an ample recompense. (17-63) |
فَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ جَزَاؤُكُمْ جَزَاءً مَّوْفُورًا |
ample recompense |
مَوْفُورٌ |
And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together (3-102) |
وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا |
rope |
حَبْلٌ ج حِبَالٌ |
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. (111-5) |
فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ |
rope of [twisted] fiber |
مَسَدٌ |
|
|
repetance |
تَوْبٌ، تَوْبَةٌ |
And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, (3-103) |
وَكُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ |
edge |
شَفَا |
and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun (20-130) |
فَسَبِّحْ وَأَطْرَافَ النَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرْضَىٰ |
before the rising |
طَرَفٌ ج أَطْرَافٌ |
And the angels are at its edges. (69-17) |
وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰ أَرْجَائِهَا |
edge |
رَجَا ج أَرْجَاءٌ |
But when he came to it, he was called from the right side of the valley (28-30) |
فَلَمَّا أَتَاهَا نُودِيَ مِن شَاطِئِ |
valley |
شَاطِئٌ |
[Remember] when you were on the near side of the valley, (8-42) |
مإِذْ أَنتُم بِالْعُدْوَةِ الدُّنْيَا |
valley |
عُدْوَةٌ |
And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge. (22-11) |
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ حَرْفٍ |
edge |
حَرْفٌ |
the regions of the heavens and the earth, (55-33) |
أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ |
region |
قُطْرٌ ج أَقْطَارٌ |
and the river will throw it onto the bank; (20-39) |
فَلْيُلْقِهِ الْيَمُّ بِالسَّاحِلِ |
bank |
سَاحِلٌ |
