Taunting about religion (4-46) |
وَطَعْنًا فِي الدِّينِ |
taunt |
طَعَنَ-يَطْعَنُ |
Lest exceeding the limits they should abuse Allah out of ignorance (6-108) |
فَيَسُبُّوا اللَّهَ عَدْوًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ |
abuse |
سَبَّ-يَسُبُّ |
Allah will deface in many faces(4-46) |
أَن نَّطْمِسَ وُجُوهًا |
deface |
طَمَسَ-يَطْمسُ |
And if it had been Our Will,We could have transformed them in their places (36-67) |
وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَمَسَخْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمْ |
deform, deface |
مَسَخَ-يَمْسَخُ |
And the Commandment of Allah is always executed (4-47) |
وَكَانَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ مَفْعُولًا |
effective |
مَفْعُولٌ |
They believe in idols and false deities (4-51) |
يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْجِبْتِ وَالطَّاغُوتِ |
idol, icon, figure |
جِبْتٌ |
So shun the worshipping of idol (22-30) |
فَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الْأَوْثَانِ |
idol, deity, pagoda |
أَوْثَانٌ |
And keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols (14-35) |
وَاجْنُبْنِي وَبَنِيَّ أَن نَّعْبُدَ الْأَصْنَامَ |
idol, deity, pagoda |
صَنَمٌ ج أَصْنَامٌ |
Intoxicants,gambling,arrows for seeking luck or decision are an abomination of Shaitan’s handiwork (5-90) |
إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنصَابُ وَالْأَزْلَامُ رِجْسٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ |
rostrum, animal of altar,prey |
نُصُبٌ ج أَصْنَابٌ |
As often as their skins are roasted through (4-56) |
كُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُودُهُم |
skin |
جِلْدٌ ج جُلُودٌ |
Taking away the head skin (70-16) |
نَزَّاعَةً لِّلشَّوَىٰ |
hide, leather |
شَوَاةٌ ج شَوًى |
And it becomes rosy or red like red hide (55-37) |
فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ |
red hide |
دِهَانٌ |
Surely Allah commands you to make over trusts to their owners (4-58) |
أَن تُؤَدُّوا الْأَمَانَاتِ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهَا |
deposit, trust, credit |
أَمَانَةٌ ج أَمَانَاتٌ |
Those who assert that they believe in what has been revealed to you (4-60) |
الَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ |
claim |
زَعَمَ-يَزْعُمُ (زَعْمٌ) |
They wish to go for judgement to the Taghut (4-60) |
يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَتَحَاكَمُوا إِلَى الطَّاغُوتِ |
seek for judgement |
تَحَاكَمَ-يَتَحَاكَمُ |
Until they make you judge in all disputes between them (4-65) |
حَتَّىٰ يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ |
make judge, litigate |
حَكَّمَ-يُحَكِّمُ |
Effectual words (4-63) |
قَوْلًا بَلِيغًا |
come alive, ultimate |
بَلِيغٌ |
And then do not find any straitness in their hearts (4-65) |
لَا يَجِدُوا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ حَرَجًا |
narrowness, problem, loss, injustice, hardship, sin, objection |
حَرَجٌ |
And do not distress yourself at what they plan (16-127) |
وَلَا تَكُ فِي ضَيْقٍ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ |
narrow, illiberal, displeased |
ضَيْقٌ |
O you who believe:Take your precautions (4:71) |
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا خُذُوا حِذْرَكُمْ |
precaution, fear, weapon |
حِذْرٌ |
And most surely we are a vigilant multitude (26-56) |
وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَاذِرُونَ |
frightened, afraid, arms bearer |
حَاذِرٌ ج حَاذِرُونَ |
There are certainly among you he who would linger behind (4-72) |
وَإِنَّ مِنكُمْ لَمَن لَّيُبَطِّئَنَّ |
linger, inactive |
بَطَّأَ-يُبَطِّئُ |
And to the three who were left behind (9-118) |
وَعَلَى الثَّلَاثَةِ الَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا |
left behind |
خَلَّفَ-يُخَلِّفُ |
To remain behind from Rasul SAW (9-120) |
أَن يَتَخَلَّفُوا عَن رَّسُولِ اللَّهِ |
remain behind |
تَخَلَّفَ-يَتَخَلَّفُ |
They would not have stayed in it but a little while (33-14) |
وَمَا تَلَبَّثُوا بِهَا إِلَّا يَسِيرًا |
stay, wait, look for |
تَلَبَّثَ-يَتَلَبَّثُ |
And by the moon as it follows the sun (91-2) |
وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَاهَا |
follow, chase |
تَلَى-يَتْلِي |
He will go ahead of his people on the Day of Resurrection (11-98) |
يَقْدُمُ قَوْمَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ |
fore |
قَدَمَ-يَقْدُمُ |
To any of you that chooses to go forward or to remain behind (74-37) |
لِمَن شَاءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَتَقَدَّمَ أَوْ يَتَأَخَّرَ |
forward, onward, fore, vanguard |
تَقَدَّمَ-يَتَقَدَّمُ |
Nor can they advance it a moment (16-61) |
وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ |
become forward, |
اسْتَقْدَمَ-يَسْتَقْدِمُ |
Very soon Allah will restrain the fighting of disbelievers (4-84) |
عَسَى اللَّهُ أَن يَكُفَّ بَأْسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا |
keep down |
كَفَّ-يَكُفُّ |
Wherever you are,death will overtake you (4-78) |
أَيْنَمَا تَكُونُوا يُدْرِككُّمُ الْمَوْتُ |
overtake, reach |
أَدْرَكَ-يُدْرِكُ (دَرَكٌ) |
Most surely we are being overtaken (26-61) |
إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ |
conscious |
مُدْرَكٌ ج مُدْرَكُونَ |
If you are in fortresses built up strong and high (4-78) |
وَلَوْ كُنتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ |
fort, castle, planet, zodiac |
بَرْجٌ ج بُرُوجٌ |
And they thought that their fortresses would defend them from Allah (59-2) |
وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُم مَّانِعَتُهُمْ حُصُونُهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ |
fort, fortress |
حِصْنٌ ج حُصُونٌ |
And those of the people of the Scripture who backed them Allah brought them down from their forts (33-26) |
وَأَنزَلَ الَّذِينَ ظَاهَرُوهُم مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مِن صَيَاصِيهِمْ |
fortresses, fort, bastion, barrack |
صِيصَةٌ ج صَيَاصٍ |
If you are in a fort strong and high,even so (4-78) |
وَلَوْ كُنتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ |
strong and high fort |
مُشَيَّدَةٌ |
And how many deserted well and palace raised high (22-45) |
وَبِئْرٍ مُّعَطَّلَةٍ وَقَصْرٍ مَّشِيدٍ |
palace raised high |
مَشِيدٌ |
And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters (50-10) |
وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ |
tall, big, high |
بَاسِقَةٌ ج بَاسِقَاتٌ |
And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains (77-27) |
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ |
long, tall, high |
شَامِخَةٌ ج شَامِخَاتٌ |
He is Allah the owner of high ranks and degrees (40-15) |
رَفِيعُ الدَّرَجَاتِ |
exalter, |
رَفِيعٌ |
And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains (55-24) |
وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ |
built, created,composed |
مُنْشَأَةٌ ج مُنْشَآتٌ |
And by the roof raised high (52-5) |
وَالسَّقْفِ الْمَرْفُوعِ |
enhanced, high, up, lofty, noble |
مَرْفُوعٌ، مَرْفُوعَةٌ |
And of the palm tree, of the sheaths of it, come forth clusters within reach (6-99) |
وَمِنَ النَّخْلِ مِن طَلْعِهَا قِنْوَانٌ دَانِيَةٌ |
low |
دَانٍ، دَانِيَةٌ |
Verily,the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire (4-145) |
إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ فِي الدَّرْكِ الْأَسْفَلِ مِنَ النَّارِ |
lowest |
دَرْكٌ |
We have not sent you(O Muhammad SAW) as a watcher over them (4-80) |
فَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا |
caretaker, watcher |
حَفِيظٌ ج حَفَظَةٌ |
And surely ,We will guard it (15-9) |
وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ |
guard, maintainer |
حَافِظٌ ج حَافِظُونَ (حَافِظَاتٌ) |
And a guardian over it (5-48) |
وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ |
guardian, protector |
مُهَيْمِنٌ |
A section of them spend all night in planning other than what you say (4-81) |
بَيَّتَ طَائِفَةٌ مِّنْهُمْ |
planning at night |
بَيَّتَ-يُبَيِّتُ |
When there comes to them some matter of safety or fear,they make it known among the people (4-83) |
وَإِذَا جَاءَهُمْ أَمْرٌ مِّنَ الْأَمْنِ أَوِ الْخَوْفِ أَذَاعُوا بِهِ |
announce |
أَذَاعَ-يُذِيعُ |
The proper investigators would have understood it from them (4-83) |
لَعَلِمَهُ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَنبِطُونَهُ مِنْهُمْ |
verify |
اِسْتَنْبَطَ-يَسْتَنْبِطُ |
And you keep inspiring the muslims (4-84) |
وَحَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
inspire, impel |
حَرَّضَ-يُحَرِّضُ |
And urged not on the feeding of the poor (69-34) |
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ |
encourage, stimulate |
حَضَّ-يَحُضُّ |
And urged not each other on feeding of the poor (89-18) |
وَلَا تَحَاضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ |
inspire each other |
تَحَاضَّ-يَتَحَاضُّ |
When you are greeted with a greeting,greet in return with what is better than it (4-86) |
وَإِذَا حُيِّيتُم بِتَحِيَّةٍ فَحَيُّوا |
greet |
حَيَّى-يُحَيِّي (تَحِيَّةٌ) |
No welcome for them (38-59) |
لَا مَرْحَبًا بِهِمْ |
congratulate |
مَرْحَبٌ |
Or who come to you,their hearts shrinking from fighting you (4-90) |
أَوْ جَاءُوكُمْ حَصِرَتْ صُدُورُهُمْ أَن يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ |
depressed, desist, capture |
حَصِرَ-يَحْصَرُ |
And if Allah had pleased,He would have given them power over you (4-90) |
وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَسَلَّطَهُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ |
enhance |
سَلَّطَ-يُسَلِّطُ |
And he should free a believing slave (4-92) |
وَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ |
free, release, set free |
تَحْرِيرٌ |
It is the setting free of a slave (90-13) |
فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ |
get rid off, free, set free |
فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ |
That you have enslaved the Children of israel (26-22) |
أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ |
enslaved |
عَبَّدَ-يُعَبِّدُ |
He must fast for two consecutive months in order to seek repentance from Allah (4-92) |
فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ تَوْبَةً مِّنَ اللَّهِ |
consecutive |
مُتَتَابِعٌ |
Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession (69-7) |
سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًا |
endless, evil |
حَاسِمٌ ج حُسُومٌ |
And whoever kills a believer intentionally (4-93) |
وَمَن يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُّتَعَمِّدًا |
intentionally |
مُتَعَمِّدٌ |
There are much more profit and booties with Allah (4-94) |
فَعِندَ اللَّهِ مَغَانِمُ كَثِيرَةٌ |
windfall |
مَغْنَمٌ ج مَغَانِمٌ (غَنِمَ-يَغْنَمُ) |
They ask you about the windfalls (8-1) |
يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْأَنفَالِ |
windfall profit |
نَفْلٌ ج أَنْفَالٌ |
Surely we will here sit down (5-24) |
إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ |
the person who lagbehind |
قَاعِدٌ ج قَاعِدُونَ |
When the two receiver(angel) receive,sitting on the right and on the left (50-17) |
إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ |
sitting, placing, allocation |
قَعِيدٌ |
Certainly We know those who shall come later (15-24) |
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَأْخِرِينَ |
declining, next |
مُسْتَأْخِرٌ ج مُسْتَأْخِرُونَ |
Therefore sit with those who remain behind (9-83) |
فَاقْعُدُوا مَعَ الْخَالِفِينَ |
retrograde, |
خَالِفٌ ج خَالِفُونَ |
They are content to be with who sit behind (9-93) |
رَضُوا بِأَن يَكُونُوا مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ |
reverse |
خَالِفَةٌ ج خَوَالِفُ |
She shall be of those who remain behind (29-33) |
كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ |
remain behind, turned upside down |
غَابِرٌ ج غَابِرُونَ |
Say(O Muhammad SAW) to the bedouins who lagged behind (48-16) |
قُل لِّلْمُخَلَّفِينَ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ |
retrograde, degressive |
مُخَلَّفٌ ج مُخَّلَفُونَ |
And of them are some who are ,by Allah’s leave,foremost in good deeds (35-32) |
وَمِنْهُمْ سَابِقٌ بِالْخَيْرَاتِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ |
foremost |
سَابِقٌ |
And indeed,We know the first generations of you who had passed away (15-24) |
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَ مِنكُمْ |
foremost, chief, topmost |
مُسْتَقْدِم ٌ ج مُسْتَقْدِمُونَ |
His reward is then surely incumbent upon Allah (4-100) |
فَقَدْ وَقَعَ أَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ |
incumbent, obligatory |
وَقَعَ-يَقَعُ (وَقْعَةٌ) |
Verily,the Torment of your Lord will come to pass (52-7) |
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ |
occurring, continuous, progressive |
وَاقِعٌ |
They can not find any way |
لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ حِيلَةً |
way, process, taking care of |
حِيلَةٌ |
But take every precaution for yourselves (4-102) |
وَلْيَأْخُذُوا أَسْلِحَتَهُمْ |
precaution |
سِلَاحٌ ج أَسْلِحَةٌ |
And you loved that the one not armed should be yours (8-7) |
وَتَوَدُّونَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ الشَّوْكَةِ |
spines, thorn |
شَوْكَةٌ |
Then throws fault on to someone innocent (4-112) |
ثُمَّ يَرْمِ بِهِ بَرِيئًا |
offenceless, righteous, irresponsible, unsatisfied |
بَرِيءٌ ج بُرَآءُ |
These are free from what they say (24-26) |
أُولَٰئِكَ مُبَرَّءُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ |
innocent, offenceless |
مُبَرَّؤٌ ج مُبَرَّءُونَ |
But Allah cleared him of what they said (33-69) |
فَبَرَّأَهُ اللَّهُ مِمَّا قَالُوا |
assoil, to set free |
بَرَّأَ-يُبَرِّئُ |
There is no good in most of their secret talks (4-114) |
لَّا خَيْرَ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِّن نَّجْوَاهُمْ |
secret talks |
نَجْوَى |
We made him draw near,holding communion with us (19-52) |
وَقَرَّبْنَاهُ نَجِيًّا |
consultant, associate |
نَجِيٌّ |
When you consult the Apostle,then offer something in charity before your consultation (58-12) |
إِذَا نَاجَيْتُمُ الرَّسُولَ فَقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ نَجْوَاكُمْ صَدَقَةً |
confer secretly, doing retransfer |
نَاجَى-يُنَاجِي |
When you confer together in private,do not give each other counsel of sin (58-9) |
إِذَا تَنَاجَيْتُمْ فَلَا تَتَنَاجَوْا بِالْإِثْمِ |
confer secretly |
تَنَاجَى-يَتَنَاجَى |
He (Satan) makes promises to them,and arouses in them false desires (4-120) |
يَعِدُهُمْ وَيُمَنِّيهِمْ |
impel |
مَنَّى-يُمَنِّي |
I will order them to slit the ears of cattle (4-119) |
وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ آذَانَ الْأَنْعَامِ |
slit,split,cut |
بَتَّكَ-يُبَتِّكُ |
When they embarked the ship,he scuttled it (18-71) |
إِذَا رَكِبَا فِي السَّفِينَةِ خَرَقَهَا |
prick,rupture,defame |
خَرَقَ-يَخْرِقُ |
So do not incline too much to one of them (4-129) |
فَلَا تَمِيلُوا كُلَّ الْمَيْلِ |
go down |
مَالَ-يَمِيلُ (مَيْلٌ) |
But if they incline to peace,you also incline to it (8-61) |
وَإِن جَنَحُوا لِلسَّلْمِ فَاجْنَحْ لَهَا |
incline, addicted , attract |
جَنَحَ-يَجْنَحُ |
Unless you turn away their plot from me,I will feel inclined towards them (12:33) |
وَإِلَّا تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ |
incline, go in for, attract |
صَبَا-يَصْبُو |
So fill some hearts among men with love towards them (14-37) |
فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئِدَةً مِّنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ |
lose, waste, vanish |
هَوَى-يَهْوِي |
You would nearly have inclined to them a little (17-74) |
لَقَدْ كِدتَّ تَرْكَنُ إِلَيْهِمْ شَيْئًا قَلِيلًا |
incline, go in for, lean |
رَكَنَ-يَرْكُنُ |
That they may be well pleased with it (6-113) |
وَلِتَصْغَىٰ إِلَيْهِ |
attract, addicted, go down |
صَغَى-يَصْغِي |
So as to leave the other hanging (4-129) |
فَتَذَرُوهَا كَالْمُعَلَّقَةِ |
hanging |
مُعَلَّقَةٌ |
Until they engage in a talk other than that (4-140) |
يَخُوضُوا فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِ |
condemn, criticize |
خَاضَ-يَخُوضُ(خَوضٌ) |
And we used to talk falsehood with vain talkers (74-45) |
وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ الْخَائِضِينَ |
talkative, gossipy |
خَائِضٌ ج خَائِضُونَ |
They are swaying between this and that (4-143) |
مُّذَبْذَبِينَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ |
swaying |
مُذَبْذَب ٌج مُذَبْذَبُونَ |
When they stand up for salat,they stand with laziness and to be seen of men (৪-১৪২) |
قَامُوا كُسَالَىٰ يُرَاءُونَ النَّاسَ |
idle |
كِسَلٌ، كَسْلَان ُ ج كُسَالَى |
Do not slacken and become weak in My Remembrance (20-42) |
وَلَا تَنِيَا فِي ذِكْرِي |
ignor, slacken, idle |
وَنِيَ-يَوْنَى |
And they did not kill him nor did they crucify him (4-157) |
وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ |
crucify |
صَلَبَ-يَصْلُبُ |
And i will surely crucify you on the trunks of date-palms (20-71) |
وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ فِي جُذُوعِ النَّخْلِ |
crucify |
صَلَّبَ-يُصَلِّبُ |
And We have mentioned to you (4-164) |
قَدْ قَصَصْنَاهُمْ عَلَيْكَ |
describe |
قَصَّ-يَقُصُّ |
And for what your tongues describe,do not utter the lie (16-116) |
وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ الْكَذِبَ |
describe, praise, tell |
وَصَفَ-يَصِفُ (وَصْفٌ) |
