Guide us to the straight path (1-6)

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

Guide the path

هَدَى-يَهْدِي (هُدًى)

And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. (27-81)

وَمَا أَنتَ بِهَادِي الْعُمْيِ عَن ضَلَالَتِهِمْ

هَادٍ

you will never find for him any helper or guide. (18-17)

وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُ وَلِيًّا مُّرْشِدًا

مُرْشِدٌ

If they submit, they will certainly be guided (3-20)

فَإِنْ أَسْلَمُوا فَقَدِ اهْتَدَوا

be guided

اهْتَدَى-يَهْتَدِي

or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? (10-35)

أَمَّن لَّا يَهِدِّي إِلَّا أَن يُهْدَىٰ

guided

يَهِدِّي

so that they may be rightly guided. (2-186)

 

لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ

rightly guided

رَشَدَ-يَرْشُدُ

(رُشْدٌ، رَشَادٌ)

If Allah wills, we shall be guided (2-70)

وَإِنَّا إِن شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَمُهْتَدُونَ

be guided

مُهْتَدٍ (ج) مُهْتَدُونَ

These are the rightly guided. (59-7)

أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الرَّاشِدُونَ

rightly guided

رَاشِدٌ (ج) رَاشِدُوْنَ

Is there not a right-minded man among you? (11-78)

أَلَيْسَ مِنكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِيدٌ

right-minded

رَشِيْدٌ

Pharaoh misled his people (20-79)

وَأَضَلَّ فِرْعَوْنُ قَوْمَهُ

أَضَلَّ-يُضِلُّ

Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate. (3-8)  

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا

deviate

أَزَاغَ-يُزِيغُ

I will surely mislead them all (38-82)

لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

mislead

أَغْوَى-يُغْوِي

Did He not foil their strategy?

 (105-2)

أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ

تَضْلِيْلٌ

And whoever Allah guides - for him there is no misleader. (39-37)

وَمَن يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِن مُّضِلٍّ

مُضِلٌّ(ج)مُضِلُّونَ

your companion has neither strayed nor is he misguided (53-2)

مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَىٰ

misguided

ضَلَّ-يَضِلُّ

(ضَلَالٌ، ضَلَالَةٌ)

And when they deviated, Allah caused their hearts to deviate. (61-5)

فَلَمَّا زَاغُوا أَزَاغَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ

deviate

زَاغَ-يَزِيغُ (زَيْغٌ)

your companion has neither strayed nor is he misguided (53-2)

مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَىٰ

misguided

غَوَى-يَغْوِي (غَيٌّ)

they said, "Indeed, we are lost;

قَالُوا إِنَّا لَضَالُّونَ

lost

ضَالٌّ(ج)ضَالُّونَ

Moses said to him, "You are clearly a misguided man." (28-18)

قَالَ لَهُ مُوسَىٰ إِنَّكَ لَغَوِيٌّ مُّبِينٌ

غَوِيٌّ

Poets are followed by the perverse. (26-224)

وَالشُّعَرَاءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغَاوُونَ

perverse

غَاوٍ (ج) غَاوُونَ

But those who do not believe in the Hereafter have indeed deviated from that path. (23-74)

 

وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّرَاطِ لَنَاكِبُونَ

نَاكِبٌ (ج)  نَاكِبُونَ

Guide us to the straight path (1-5)

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

صِرَاطٌ

strike for them a dry path through the sea (20-77)

لَهُمْ طَرِيقًا فِي الْبَحْرِ

path

طَرِيقٌ، طَرِيْقَةٌ (ج) طَرَائِقُ

hat town lies on a road which still exists. (15-76)

 

وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٍ مُّقِيمٍ

road

سَبِيلٌ (ج) سُبُلٌ

on lean camels, coming from distant places (22-27)

وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ يَأْتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ

distant places

فَجٌّ (ج) فِجَاجٌ

Then he followed yet another path (18-89)

 

ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا

another path

سَبَبٌ (ج) أَسْبَابٌ

And We showed him the two ways (90-10)

وَهَدَيْنَاهُ النَّجْدَيْنِ

way, path

نَجْدٌ

We have ordained a law and a Path for each of you (45-48)

لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجًا

way, path

مِنْهَاجٌ

Guide us to the Straight Path (1-5)

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

Straight Path

مُسْتَقِيْمٌ

and let them speak upright words.(4-9)

وَلْيَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا

Upright words

سَدِيدٌ

The straight way leads to Allah and there are ways which deviate from the right course.(16-9)

وَعَلَى اللَّهِ قَصْدُ السَّبِيلِ وَمِنْهَا جَائِرٌ

deviate

جَائِرٌ

which is free from any ambiguity (18-1)

وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُ عِوَجًا

ambiguity

عِوَجٌ

the path of those You have blessed (1-7)

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ

blessed

أَنْعَمَ-يُنْعِمُ

Allah has surely been gracious to the believers (3-164)

لَقَدْ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

been gracious

مَنَّ-يَمُنُّ (مَنٌّ)

He has been gracious to me. He brought me out of prison(12-100)

وَقَدْ أَحْسَنَ بِي إِذْ أَخْرَجَنِي مِنَ السِّجْنِ

been gracious

أَحْسَنَ-يُحْسِنُ (إحْسَانٌ)

Then, when He grants him a blessing from Himself (39-8)

ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلَهُ نِعْمَةً مِّنْهُ

grants

خَوَّلَ-يُخَوِّلُ

and has completed His favours to you, both seen and unseen (31-20)

وَأَسْبَغَ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعَمَهُ ظَاهِرَةً وَبَاطِنَةً

completed

أَسْبَغَ-يُسْبِغُ

We had given them luxury in the worldly life (23-33)

وَأَتْرَفْنَاهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا

given luxury

أَتْرَفَ-يُتْرِفُ

whenever his Lord tests him by giving him honour and favours (89-15)

إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ

favours

نَعَّمَ-يُنَعِّمُ

that it is He who gives wealth and possessions (53-48)

وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَغْنَىٰ وَأَقْنَىٰ

give possessions

أَقْنَى-يُقْنِي

and curse one another (29-25)

وَيَلْعَنُ بَعْضُكُم بَعْضًا

curse

لَعَنَ-يَلْعَنُ (لَعْنٌ، لَعْنَةٌ)

Not the path of those who earned Your anger - nor of those who are misguided (1-7)

غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

Except, Not the path

غَيْرُ

There is no God except He. He is the Merciful, the Most Merciful. (2-163)

لَّا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ الرَّحِيمُ

except

إِلاَّ

besides that to whomever He wishes. (4-48)

مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ

besides, except

دُوْنَ

But as for him who is given his record from behind his back (84-10)

وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ وَرَاءَ ظَهْرِهِ

But him, except

وَرَاءَ

Not the path of those who earned Your anger - nor of those who are misguided (1-7)

غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

earned Your anger

مَغْضُوْبٌ

Accursed, wherever they are found, they will be seized and killed. (33-61)

مَّلْعُونِينَ ۖ أَيْنَمَا ثُقِفُوا أُخِذُوا وَقُتِّلُوا تَقْتِيلًا

Accursed

مَلْعُونٌ (مَلْعُنَةٌ) (ج) مَلْعُنُون

The spring from which drink the ones close to Allah.(83-28)

عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ

close to

مُقَرَّبٌ (ج) مُقَرَّبُونَ
