There is a sickness in their hearts; then Allah increased their sickness. (2-10) |
فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ فَزَادَهُمُ اللَّهُ مَرَضًا |

and when I get sick. (26:80) |
وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ |

that which is healing and mercy for the believers. (17:82) |
هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ |

And I cure the blind and the leper. (3:49) |
وَأُبْرِئُ الْأَكْمَهَ وَالْأَبْرَصَ |

it is He who cures me. (26:80) |
فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ |

|||

whether there is little or much of it. (4:7) |

but the human being is a most argumentative being. (18:54) |
وَكَانَ الْإِنسَانُ أَكْثَرَ شَيْءٍ جَدَلًا |

and increases charity. (2:276) |
وَيُرْبِي الصَّدَقَاتِ |

أَرْبَى- يُرْبِي |
|||
so that He may increase it for him several times over. (2:245) |
فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً |

ضَاعَفَ- يُضَاعِفُ |
|||
until they increased [and prospered]. (7:95) |
حَتَّىٰ عَفَوا |
Increased/ prospered |
عَفَا- يَعْفُو |
|||
Should anyone do good of his own accord. (2:184)
|
فَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا |
of his own accord
|
تَطَوَّعَ- يَتَطَوَّعُ |
|||
you will find it with Allah. It is better and greater in reward. (73-20) |
تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ اللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا وَأَعْظَمَ أَجْرًا |

|||
appear as few in your eyes. (8:44) |
فِي أَعْيُنِكُمْ قَلِيلًا |

قَلَّلَ-يُقَلِّلُ |
|||
there is no blame upon you for shortening the prayer. (4:101) |
فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَقْصُرُوا مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ |

قَصَرَ- يَقْصُرُ |
|||
We will not reduce them of anything of their deeds. (52:21) |
وَمَا أَلَتْنَاهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ |

|||
and diminish nothing from it. (2:282) |
وَلَا يَبْخَسْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا |

بَخَسَ- يَبْخَسُ |

nor is his lifespan lessened. (35:11) |
وَلَا يُنقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِهِ |

nor decrease the due weight. (55:9) |
وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ |

|||
They will have a painful punishment, because they have been lying. (2-10) |
وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ |

and it swallowed up their lying invention. (26: 45) |
فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ |

|||
Do they say, He has invented it himself." (11:35) |
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ |

اِفْتَرَى-يَفْتَرِي (افْتِرَاءٌ) |
|||
Had he faked any sayings in Our name. (69:44) |
وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ الْأَقَاوِيلِ |

تَقَوَّلَ- يَتَقَوَّلُ |
|||
(Solomon )said, "We shall soon see whether you have spoken the truth. " (27:27) |
قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقْتَ |
spoken the truth |
صَدَقَ-يَصْدُقُ |
|||
In fact, they are the troublemakers, but they are not aware. (2-12)
|
أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْمُفْسِدُونَ وَلَٰكِن لَّا يَشْعُرُونَ |
Trouble, mess up, corrupt |
أَفْسَدَ-يُفْسِدُ |
|||
and commit not evil on the earth as corrupters. (2:60)
|
وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ |

|||
Gog and Magog are causing disaster in this land. (18:94) |
يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ |

|||
in the land and a great chaos. (8:73) |
فِي الْأَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌ كَبِيرٌ |

|||
and making peace among people. (2:224) |
وَتُصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ |
making peace |
أَصْلَحَ - يُصْلِحُ (إصْلَاحٌ) |
|||
If they desire reconcilement, Allah shall reconcile them. (4-35) |
إِن يُرِيدَا إِصْلَاحًا يُوَفِّقِ اللَّهُ بَيْنَهُمَا |
reconcile, Adjusts |
وَفَّقَ-يُوَفِّقُ (تَوْفِيقٌ) |
|||
Allah knows the corrupter from the reformer. (2:220) |
وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْمُفْسِدَ مِنَ الْمُصْلِحِ |

مُصْلِحٌجمُصْلِحُونَ |
|||
Do not cause corruption on the earth. (2-11) |
لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ |

|||
and the sky a ceiling. (2:22) |
وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً |

السَّمَاءُجالسَّمَاوَتُ |
|||
In fact, it is they who are the fools, but they do not know. (2: 13) |
إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ السُّفَهَاءُ وَلَٰكِن لَّا يَعْلَمُونَ |

سَفِيهٌ ج سُفَهَاءُ (سَفِهَ-يسْفَهُ) |

and when the ignorant address them.(25:63) |
وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ الْجَاهِلُونَ |

جَاهِلٌ ج جَاهِلُونَ |
|||
Indeed he is most unjust and ignorant. (33:72) |
إِنَّهُ كَانَ ظَلُومًا جَهُولًا |

جَهُولٌ |
|||
except by those who are the lowest of us (and)those of immature judgement. (11:27) |
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ هُمْ أَرَاذِلُنَا بَادِيَ الرَّأْيِ |

بَادِئُ الرَأْيِ |
|||
Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" (2:13) |
قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَا آمَنَ السُّفَهَاءُ |

سَفَهٌ، سَفَاهَةٌ |
|||
if any one of you commits evil through ignorance. (6:54) |
مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنكُمْ سُوءًا بِجَهَالَةٍ |
ignorance |
جَهَالَةٌ (جَهِلَ-يَجْهَلُ)، جَاهِلِيَّةٌ |
|||
Only those of Allah’s servants having knowledge fear Him. (35:28) |
إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ |

عَالِمٌجعُلَمَاءُ (عَلِمَ-يَعْلَمُ) |

Indeed, this is a learned magician. (7:109) |
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ |

|||
Indeed You are the All-knowing, the All-wise. (2:32) |
إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ |
All-knowing, All-wise |

|||
The submissive prophets ruled the Jews according to it, so did the rabbis and the scholars. (5:44) |
يَحْكُمُ بِهَا النَّبِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالْأَحْبَارُ |
the scholars |
حِبْرٌ ج أَحْبَارٌ |
|||
that is because scholars are among them. (5:82) |
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ |
scholars |
قِسِّيسٌ ج قِسِّيسُّونَ |
|||
you argue about that of which you have no knowledge. (3:66) |
تُحَاجُّونَ فِيمَا لَيْسَ لَكُم بِهِ عِلْمٌ |
knowledge |
عِلْمٌ |
|||
And so it was. We had full knowledge of what he had. (18:91) |
كَذَٰلِكَ وَقَدْ أَحَطْنَا بِمَا لَدَيْهِ خُبْرًا |

|||
So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work. (18:110) |
فَمَن كَانَ يَرْجُو لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا |

لَقِيَ- يَلْقَى |
|||
but when they are alone with their devils, they say, “We are with you“. (2:14) |
وَإِذَا خَلَوْا إِلَىٰ شَيَاطِينِهِمْ قَالُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ |

خَلاَ- يَخْلُو |
|||
When they despaired of him, they went in private to confer together. (12:80) |
فَلَمَّا اسْتَيْأَسُوا مِنْهُ خَلَصُوا نَجِيًّا |
in private |
خَلَصَ- يَخْلُصُ |
|||
but when they are alone with their devils, they say, “We are with you“.(2:14) |
وَإِذَا خَلَوْا إِلَىٰ شَيَاطِينِهِمْ قَالُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ |

شَيْطَانٌ ج شَيَاطِينُ |
|||
It is Allah who ridicules them. (2:15) |
اللَّهُ يَسْتَهْزِئُ بِهِمْ |
ridicules |
مُسْتَهْزِئٌ ج مُسْتَهْزِئُونَ (اِسْتَهْزَأَ-يَسْتَهْزِئُ) |
|||
Let not any people ridicule another people. (49:15) |
لَا يَسْخَرْ قَوْمٌ مِّن قَوْمٍ |
ridicule |
سَخِرَ-يَسْخَرُ |
|||
And when they see a sign, they ridicule. (37:14) |
وَإِذَا رَأَوْا آيَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ |
ridicule, |
اِسْتَسْخَرَ-يَسْتَسْخِرُ |
|||
That is because you took the verses of Allah in ridicule. (45:35) |
ذَٰلِكُم بِأَنَّكُمُ اتَّخَذْتُمْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ هُزُوًا |

|||
Have we taken them in mockery? (38:63) |
أَتَّخَذْنَاهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا |
in mockery |

|||
leaving them to wander blindly in their rebellion. (2-15) |
وَيَمُدُّهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ |
leave |
مَدَّ-يَمُدُّ |
|||
grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection. (38:79) |
فَأَنظِرْنِي إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ |
respite |
أَنْظَرَ-يُنْظِرُ |
|||
Those who disbelieve should not assume that We respite them. (3:178) |
وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّمَا نُمْلِي |
respite |
أَمْلَى-يُمْلِي |
|||
And leave Me to those who deny the truth, those of luxury. (73:11) |
وَذَرْنِي وَالْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُولِي النَّعْمَةِ |

مَهَّلَ-يُمَهِّلُ |
|||
Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. (86:17) |
فَمَهِّلِ الْكَافِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا |

أَمْهَلَ-يُمْهِلُ |
|||
They said, "Let him and his brother wait awhile. (7:111) |
قَالُوا أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ |
wait |
أَرْجَهَ-يُرْجِهُ |
|||
leaving them to wander blindly in their rebellion. (2-15) |
وَيَمُدُّهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ |
rebellion |
طُغْيَانٌ (طَغَى-يَطْغَى) |
|||
Thamood denied in its pride. (91:11) |
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَاهَا |

|||
but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. (5:2)
|
وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ |

عُدْوَانٌ، عَدْوٌ (عَدَا- يَعْدُو) |
|||
for that would be an outrageous thing to do. (18:14) |
لَّقَدْ قُلْنَا إِذًا شَطَطًا |

he follows his low desires. (18:28) |
وَكَانَ أَمْرُهُ فُرُطًا |

فُرُطٌ |
|||
and crosses all His limits. (4:14) |
وَيَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَهُ |

تَعَدَّى-يَتَعَدَّى |
|||
and have greatly exceeded all bounds. (25:21) |
وَعَتَوْا عُتُوًّا كَبِيرًا |

عُتُوٌ (عَتَا-يَعْتُو) |

عَمِهَ - يَعْمَهُ |
|||
They will wander aimlessly in the land. (5:26) |
يَتِيهُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ |

تَاهَ-يَتِيهُ |

|
|
purchase |
اِشْتَرَى- يَشْتَرِي |
|||
who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. (4:74) |
الَّذِينَ يَشْرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا بِالْآخِرَةِ |
sell |
شَرَى- يَشْرِي |
|||
and take witnesses whenever you perform trade. (2:282) |
وَأَشْهِدُوا إِذَا تَبَايَعْتُمْ |
trade |
تَبَايَعَ - يَتَبَايَعُ |
|||
So rejoice in the bargain you have made with Him. (9:111) |
فَاسْتَبْشِرُوا بِبَيْعِكُمُ الَّذِي بَايَعْتُم بِهِ |
bargain |
بَايَعَ - يُبَايِعُ |
|||
so their bargain did not profit them. (2-16) |
فَمَا رَبِحَت تِّجَارَتُهُمْ |
profit |
رَبِحَ - يَرْبَحُ |
|||
Those will have lost who denied the meeting with Allah. (10:45) |
قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِلِقَاءِ اللَّهِ |

خَسِرَ- يَخْسَرُ |
|||
And when they see some trade or sport. (62:11) |
وَإِذَا رَأَوْا تِجَارَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا |

تِجَارَةٌ |
|||
and stop buying and selling. (62:9) |
وَذَرُوا الْبَيْعَ |
buying and selling |
بَيْعٌ |
|||
Their example is like that of one who kindled a fire. (2-17) |
مَثَلُهُمْ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا |

The like of which was never created in the land. (89: 8) |
الَّتِي لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِي الْبِلَادِ |

مِثْلٌ ج أَمْثَالٌ |
|||
and vineyards, and olives, and pomegranates—similar and dissimilar. (6:99) |
وَجَنَّاتٍ مِّنْ أَعْنَابٍ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُشْتَبِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ |

مُتَشَابهٌ |
|||
and vineyards, and olives, and pomegranates—similar and dissimilar. (6:99) |
وَجَنَّاتٍ مِّنْ أَعْنَابٍ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُشْتَبِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ |

|||
And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. (38:58) |
وَآخَرُ مِن شَكْلِهِ أَزْوَاجٌ |

so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. (20:53) |
فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِّن نَّبَاتٍ شَتَّىٰ |

|||
On that Day people will come forward in separate groups. (99:6) |
يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا |

أَشْتَاتٌ |
|||
From their bellies emerges a fluid of diverse colors. (16:69) |
يَخْرُجُ مِن بُطُونِهَا شَرَابٌ مُّخْتَلِفٌ |

مُخْتَلِفٌج مُخْتَلِفُونَ |
|||
but enter by different gates. (12:67) |
وَادْخُلُوا مِنْ أَبْوَابٍ مُّتَفَرِّقَةٍ |
