To Allah belong the east and the west (2:115) |
وَلِلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ |
East |
مَشْرِقٌ (ج) مَشَارِقُ |
Neither of the east nor of the west (24:35) |
لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ |
Of the east |
شَرْقِيٌّ، شَرْقِيَّةٌ |
To Allah belong the east and the West (2:115) |
وَلِلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ |
West |
مَغْرِبٌ (ج) مَغَارِبُ |
Neither of the east nor of the west (24:35) |
لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ |
Of the west |
غَرْبِيٌّ |
And We made the other party approach thither. (26:64) |
وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ الْآخَرِينَ |
Thither |
ثَمَّ |
They will plead for destruction (25:13) |
دَعَوْا هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورًا |
There |
هُنَالِكَ |
We should not have been in the slaughter here (3:154) |
مَّا قُتِلْنَا هَاهُنَا |
Here |
هَاهُنَا |
Spacious is My Earth (29:56) |
إِنَّ أَرْضِي وَاسِعَةٌ |
Spacious |
وَاسِعٌ، وَاسِعَةٌ |
In shade long-extended (56:30) |
وَظِلٍّ مَّمْدُودٍ |
Long-extended |
مَمْدُودٌ |
In columns outstretched (104:9) |
فِي عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ |
Outstretched |
مُمَدَّدَةٌ |
verily for him is a life narrowed down (20:124) |
فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا |
narrowed down |
ضَنْكٌ |
He makes his breast close and constricted (6:125) |
يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُ ضَيِّقًا |
close and constricted |
ضَيِّقٌ |
thy heart feeleth straitened (11:12) |
وَضَائِقٌ بِهِ صَدْرُكَ |
straitened |
ضَائِقٌ |
all are devoutly obedient to Him (30:26) |
كُلٌّ لَّهُ قَانِتُونَ |
Obedient |
قَانِتٌ (ج) قَانِتُونَ (قَانِتَاتٌ) |
we remain constantly in attendance on them (26:71) |
فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِينَ |
attendance |
عَاكِفٌ (ج) عَاكِفُونَ |
They said: "We do come (together), in willing obedience." (41:11) |
قَالَتَا أَتَيْنَا طَائِعِينَ |
In willing obedience |
طَائِعٌ (ج) طَائِعُونَ |
Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." (37:18) |
قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ |
Humiliated |
دَاخِرٌ (ج) دَاخِرُونَ |
But if the right is on their side, they come to him with all submission. (24:49) |
وَإِن يَكُن لَّهُمُ الْحَقُّ يَأْتُوا إِلَيْهِ مُذْعِنِينَ |
Submission |
مُذْعِنٌ (ج) مُذْعِنُونَ |
For Satan is a rebel against (Allah) Most Gracious (19:44) |
إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ عَصِيًّا |
Rebel |
عَصِيٌ |
And follow every evil one obstinate in rebellion! (২২:৩) |
وَيَتَّبِعُ كُلَّ شَيْطَانٍ مَّرِيدٍ |
Obstinate in rebellion |
مَارِدٌ، مَرِيدٌ |
For to Our Signs he has been refractory! (78:16) |
إِنَّهُ كَانَ لِآيَاتِنَا عَنِيدًا |
Refractory |
عَنِيدٌ |
And then decreed a decreed stated term (for you). (6:2) |
ثُمَّ قَضَىٰ أَجَلًا |
Decreed |
قَضَى-يَقْضِي |
Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance (87:3) |
وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ |
Ordained |
قَدَّرَ-يُقَدِّرُ (تَقْدِيرٌ) |
In the (Night) is made distinct every affair of wisdom (44:4) |
فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ |
Made |
أَفْرَقَ-يُفْرِقُ |
Their affair is with Allah (6:159) |
إِنَّمَا أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ |
Affair |
أَمْرٌ (ج) أُمُورٌ |
to whom is given the Book, and Wisdom, and the prophetic office (3:79) |
يُؤْتِيَهُ اللَّهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ |
Wisdom |
حُكْمٌ |
To us are all heifers alike (2:70) |
إِنَّ الْبَقَرَ تَشَابَهَ عَلَيْنَا |
Alike |
تَشَابَهَ-يَتَشَابَهُ |
But so it was made to appear to them (4:157) |
وَلَٰكِن شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ |
made to appear |
شَبَّهَ-يُشَبِّهُ |
They but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say (9:30) |
يُضَاهِئُونَ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن قَبْلُ |
Imitate |
ضَاهَأَ-يُضَاهِئُ |
And He sent against them Flights of Birds (105:3) |
وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ |
Sent |
أَرْسَلَ-يُرْسِلُ |
But indeed, I will send to them (27:35) |
وَإِنِّي مُرْسِلَةٌ إِلَيْهِم |
Messenger |
مُرْسِلٌ (مُرْسِلَةٌ) (ج) مُرْسِلُونَ |
O Messenger! proclaim the (message) which hath been sent to thee from thy Lord. If thou didst not, thou wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission (5:67) |
يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ |
mission |
رِسَالَةٌ (ج) رِسَالَاتٌ |
Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him (98:8) |
رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ |
Pleased |
رَضِيَ-يَرْضَى |
With (fair words from) their mouths they entice you (9:8) |
يُرْضُونَكُم بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ |
Entice |
أَرْضَى-يُرْضِي |
Come back thou to thy Lord,- well pleased(thyself) and well-pleasing unto Him! (89:28) |
ارْجِعِي إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً |
Pleased |
رَاضِيَةٌ، رَضِيٌ |
And return to his people in happiness (84:9) |
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُورًا |
in happiness |
مَسْرُورٌ |
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. (93:3) |
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ |
Detest |
قَلَى-يَقْلِي |
So follow the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth (3:95) |
فَاتَّبِعُوا مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا |
religion |
مِلَّةٌ |
There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. (2:256) |
لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ |
religion |
دِينٌ |
and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination(79:40) |
وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ |
[unlawful] inclination |
هَوًى (ج) أَهْوَاءٌ |
[ Allah ] said, "Indeed, I will make you a leader for the people." (2:124) |
قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا |
Leader |
إِمَامٌ (ج) أَئِمَّةٌ |
indeed we obeyed our masters (33:67) |
إِنَّا أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا |
Master |
سَيِّدٌ (ج) سَادَةٌ |
Have you not considered the assembly of the Children of Israel after [the time of] Moses (2:246) |
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ مِن بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِن بَعْدِ مُوسَىٰ |
Chief |
مَلَأٌ |
and We delegated from among them twelve leaders.(5:12) |
وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًا |
Leader |
نَقِيبٌ |
Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. (81:21) |
مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ |
One to be obeyed |
مُطَاعٌ |
Nor will you be a follower of their qiblah. (2:145) |
وَمَا أَنتَ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَتَهُمْ |
Follower |
تَابِعٌ (ج) تَابِعُونَ |
Indeed, we were your followers (১৪:২১) |
إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًا |
Follower |
تَبَعٌ |
And we are, in their footsteps, following (৪৩:২৩) |
وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِم مُّقْتَدُونَ |
Follower |
مُقْتَدٌ (ج) مُقْتَدُونَ |
Are these the ones whom you [inhabitants of Hell] swore that Allah would never offer them mercy? (7:49) |
أَهَٰؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ أَقْسَمْتُمْ لَا يَنَالُهُمُ اللَّهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ |
Grant |
نَالَ-يَنَالُ (نَيْلٌ، نَيْلَةٌ) |
And [mention] when We made the House a place of return for the people and [a place of] security. (2:125) |
جَعَلْنَا الْبَيْتَ مَثَابَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَأَمْنًا |
A place of return |
مَثَابَةٌ |
I will not cease [traveling] until I reach the junction of the two seas (১৮:৬০) |
لَا أَبْرَحُ حَتَّىٰ أَبْلُغَ مَجْمَعَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ |
Junction |
مَجْمَعٌ |
He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security (24:55) |
وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّن بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًا |
Security |
أَمْنٌ، أَمَنَةٌ |
do not fight you and offer you peace (4:90) |
فَلَمْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ وَأَلْقَوْا إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَمَ |
Peace |
سَلْمٌ، سَلَمٌ، سَلَامٌ |
Indeed, the righteous will be in a secure place; (44:51) |
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي مَقَامٍ أَمِينٍ |
A place |
مَقَامٌ |
there is no stability for you [here], so return [home] (33:13) |
لَا مُقَامَ لَكُمْ فَارْجِعُوا |
Stand |
مُقَامٌ |
the wind carried him down into a remote place. (২২:৩১) |
تَهْوِي بِهِ الرِّيحُ فِي مَكَانٍ سَحِيقٍ |
A place |
مَكَانٌ |
he was called from the right side of the valley in a blessed spot - from the tree (28:30) |
نُودِيَ مِن شَاطِئِ الْوَادِ الْأَيْمَنِ فِي الْبُقْعَةِ الْمُبَارَكَةِ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ |
valley |
بُقْعَةٌ |
And take, [O believers], from the standing place of Abraham a place of prayer (2:125) |
وَاتَّخِذُوا مِن مَّقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى |
A place of prayer |
مُصَلَّى |
And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, [saying], "Purify My House (2:125) |
وَعَهِدْنَا إِلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ أَن طَهِّرَا بَيْتِيَ |
Purify |
طَهَّرَ-يُطَهِّرُ (تَطْهِيرٌ) |
And that Allah may purify the believers (3-141) |
وَلِيُمَحِّصَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا |
Purify |
مَحَّصَ-يُمَحّصُ |
Take, [O, Muhammad], from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase (9:103) |
خُذْ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ صَدَقَةً تُطَهِّرُهُمْ وَتُزَكِّيهِم بِهَا |
Purify |
زَكَّى-يُزَكِّي |
[I will]purify you from those who disbelieve (3-55) |
وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا |
|
مُطَهِّرٌ |
And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, [saying], "Purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who are staying [there] for worship and those who bow and prostrate [in prayer]." (2:125) |
وَعَهِدْنَا إِلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ أَن طَهِّرَا بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْعَاكِفِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ |
He who circumambulates |
طَائِفٌ (ج) طَائِفُونَ (طَافَ-يَطُوفُ) |
they continually circulate among you - some of you, among others (24:58) |
طَوَّافُونَ عَلَيْكُم بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ |
Moving about |
طَوَّافٌ (ج) طَوَّافُونَ |
And perform Tawaf around the ancient House. (22:29) |
وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا بِالْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ |
circumambulate |
تَطَوَّفَ-يَتَطَوَّفُ |
And they, from the terror of that Day, will be safe (27:89) |
وَهُم مِّن فَزَعٍ يَوْمَئِذٍ آمِنُونَ |
Safe |
آمِنٌ (آمِنَةٌ) (ج) آمِنُونَ |
Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. (23:13) |
ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاهُ نُطْفَةً فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ |
Firm |
مَكِينٌ |
And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound. (68:43) |
وَقَدْ كَانُوا يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى السُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَالِمُونَ |
Sound |
سَالِمٌ (ج) سَالِمُونَ |
ndeed, the punishment of their Lord is not that from which one is safe (৭০:২৮) |
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمْ غَيْرُ مَأْمُونٍ |
Safe |
مَأْمُونٌ |
Then deliver him to his place of safety. (9:6) |
ثُمَّ أَبْلِغْهُ مَأْمَنَهُ |
Place of safety |
مَأْمَنٌ |
But, [on the contrary], We have provided good things for these [disbelievers] and their fathers (21:44) |
بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ وَآبَاءَهُمْ |
Provide provision |
مَتَّعَ-يُمَتِّعُ |
[O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals. (77:46) |
وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ |
enjoy provision |
تَمَتَّعَ-يَتَمَتَّعُ |
