if Allah helps you,none can overcome you (3-160) |
إِن يَنصُرْكُمُ اللَّهُ فَلَا غَالِبَ لَكُمْ |
victorious |
غَالِبٌ ج غَالِبُونَ |
I have been overcome,so help me (54-10) |
أَنِّي مَغْلُوبٌ فَانتَصِرْ |
overcome |
مَغْلُوبٌ |
They will be a defeated host like the confederates of the old times (38-11) |
جُندٌ مَّا هُنَالِكَ مَهْزُومٌ مِّنَ الْأَحْزَابِ |
defeated, overcome, wounded |
مَهْزُومٌ |
He cast lots, and he was among the losers (37-141) |
فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُدْحَضِينَ |
failed, default, fall off, defend |
مُدْحَضٌ ج مُدْحَضُونَ |
And it is not attributable to a prophet that he should act unfaithfully (3-161) |
وَمَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَن يَغُلَّ |
expose |
غَلَّ-يَغُلُّ |
And that He might test the hypocrites (3-167) |
وَلِيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ نَافَقُوا |
fake |
نَافَقَ-يُنَافِقُ (نِفاقٌ) |
The hypocrites are liars indeed (63-1) |
إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ لَكَاذِبُونَ |
trickery, deceit, two-faced, illusive |
مُنَافِقٌ ج مُنَافِقُونَ (مُنَافِقَاتٌ) |
Or defend yourselves (3-167) |
أَوِ ادْفَعُوا |
defend |
دَفَعَ-يَدْفَعُ |
Avert death from your ownselves (3-168) |
فَادْرَءُوا عَنْ أَنفُسِكُمُ الْمَوْتَ |
avert |
دَرَأَ-يَدْرَأُ |
And whoever is removed away from the Fire (3-185) |
فَمَن زُحْزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ |
removed, inhibit |
زَحْزَحَ-يُزَحْزِحُ |
And remove the anger of their hearts (9-15) |
وَيُذْهِبْ غَيْظَ قُلُوبِهِمْ |
take away, rob |
أَذْهَبَ-يُذْهِبُ |
And will expiate for you your sins (8-29) |
وَيُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ |
expiate, at one |
كَفَّرَ-يُكَفِّرُ |
We withdraw therefrom the day (36-37) |
نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ النَّهَارَ |
lug, stretch out |
سَلَخَ-يَسْلَخُ |
Now We have removed your covering (50-22) |
فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَاءَكَ |
reveal, disclose, uncover, open
|
كَشَفَ-يَكْشِفُ (كَشْفٌ) |
And when the heaven has its covering removed (81-11) |
وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ كُشِطَتْ |
dispel, bring back, |
كَشطَ |
Rejoicing for the sake of those who have not yet joined them (3-170) |
وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِم |
be glad, accept good news |
اِسْتَبْشَرَ-يَسْتَبْشِرُ |
And receive the glad tidings of Paradise which you have been promised (41-30) |
وَأَبْشِرُوا بِالْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ |
be pleased, take good news |
أَبْشَرَ-يُبْشِرُ |
Laughing,rejoicing at good news (80-39) |
ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ |
cheerful, obtained good news |
مُسْتَبْشِرةٌ |
They rejoice in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His Bounty (3-170) |
فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ |
joyful, delightful, too much happy |
فَرِحٌ ج فَرِحُونَ |
Verily,the dwellers of the Paradise,that day will be busy in joyful things (36-55) |
إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ الْيَوْمَ فِي شُغُلٍ فَاكِهُونَ |
amateur, smilingly |
فَاكِهٌ ج فَاكِهُونَ |
And when they returned to their own people,they would return jesting (83-31) |
وَإِذَا انقَلَبُوا إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِمُ انقَلَبُوا فَكِهِينَ |
smilingly, amateur |
فَكِهٌ ج فَكِهُونَ |
The hearts of those who believe not in the hereafter are filled with disgust(39-45) |
اشْمَأَزَّتْ قُلُوبُ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ |
be disgusted |
اِشْمَأَزَّ-يَشْمَئِزُّ |
Allah is sufficient for us and most excellent is the Protector (3-173) |
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ |
guardian |
وَكِيلٌ |
The things which they covetously withheld shall be tied to their necks like a collar on the day of Resurrection (3-180) |
سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُوا بِهِ |
shackle |
طَوَّقَ-يُطَوِّقُ |
Taste you the torment of the burning (3-181) |
ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ |
burning, glowing, blazing |
حَرِيْقٌ |
Flaming fire (37-10) |
شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ |
flaming,shining |
ثَاقِبٌ |
They will be given to drink from a boiling spring (88-4) |
تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً |
rousing, extreme hot, scarlet |
حَامِيَةٌ |
It is the fire kindled by Allah (104-6) |
نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ |
lighted |
مُوقَدَةٌ |
Who came with clear signs,proofs,evidences and the Scripture and the book of Enlightenment (3-184) |
جَاءُوا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالزُّبُرِ وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُنِيرِ |
shining |
مُنِيرٌ |
The glass as it were a brilliant star (24-35) |
كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ |
radiant, fulgent, orient |
دُرِّيٌّ |
It is He Who made the sun a shining thing (10-5) |
هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ ضِيَاءً |
luminous |
ضِيَاءٌ |
Some faces that Day will be bright (80-38) |
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ |
bright, lucid, smiling face |
مُسْفِرَةٌ |
And have made a shining lamp (78-13) |
وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا |
shining |
وَهَّاجٌ |
When he saw the sun rising up (6-78) |
فَلَمَّا رَأَى الشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً |
bright, rising |
بَازِغٌ، بَازِغَةٌ |
Some faces that Day shall be shining and radiant (75-22) |
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ |
blooming, nice, bright, spirited |
نَاضِرَةٌ |
That Day,many faces will be bright (88-8) |
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ |
blissful, blessed, |
نَاعِمَةٌ |
And when the stars shall fall (81-2) |
وَإِذَا النُّجُومُ انكَدَرَتْ |
become foul, rust |
انْكَدَرَ-يَنْكَدِرُ |
And some faces,that Day will be frowning and sad (75-24) |
وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَاسِرَةٌ |
pale, rust, becomedirty |
بَاسِرَةٌ |
Tose who remember Allah sanding,sitting and lying down on their side (3-191) |
الَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِهِمْ |
side, nearness, lying down |
جَنْبٌ ج جُنُوبٌ |
In the direction of mount Tur (28-29) |
مِن جَانِبِ الطُّورِ |
side, edge,way |
جَانِبٌ |
Bending his neck in pride and leading too astray from the Path of Allah (22-9) |
ثَانِيَ عِطْفِهِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ |
side, shoulder, neck, throat |
عِطْفٌ |
Reard from Allah (3-198) |
نُزُلًا مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ |
hospitality |
نُزُلٌ |
Oyou who believe!Endure and be more patient (3-200) |
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اصْبِرُوا |
fasten |
صَابَرَ-يُصَابِرُ |
O you who believe!Endure and be more patient and guard your territory,be careful of Allah (3-200) |
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اصْبِرُوا وَصَابِرُوا وَرَابِطُوا |
remain firm |
رَابَطَ-يُرَابِطُ |
Remember the name of Allah and take a firm stand (8-45) |
فَاثْبُتُوا وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا |
stand fast, stick on, remain firm |
ثَبَتَ-يَثْبُتُ (ثُبُوتٌ) |
