The اسْمُ الفَاعِلِ that comes from nakis verb is called الْمَنْقُوْصُ  . like قَاضِيٌ   a judge. It comes from the nakis verbقَضَى  . when mankus takes tanween then it drops its last ي . like قَاضٍ< قَاضِيٌ .  But when the mankus are definite or mansub or mudaf then its retains its ي

سَاَلَ الْقَاضِيْ الْمُحَامِيَ عَنِ الْجَانِيْ
