كُلُّ means every or all. When it comes before indefinite ism then it refers to ‘each’ and when it comes before definite ism it means ‘all’. It is mudaf most of the time and its case is like the case which is emphasized.
Certainly, Allah is competent over all things. |
إِنَّ اللَّـهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ |
On every night Allah descends upon the nearest sky. |
يَنْزِلُ اللَّهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ |
Every living being will taste death. |
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ |
Every painter (of living being) will be in hellfire. |
كُلُّ مُصَوِّرٍ فِي النَّارِ |
And Allah does not love any transgressor who cross limits. |
وَاللَّـهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ |
All of them are obedient to him. |
كُلٌّ لَّهُ قَانِتُونَ |
Every party is satisfied with what they have. |
كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ |
All the female students in the class are from India. |
كُلُّ الطَّالِبَاتِ فِي هٰذَا الصَّفِّ مِنَ الْهِنْدِ |
