ظَنَّ means “he assumed”. The present tense form of it is, يَظُنُّ “he assumes”. أَظُنُّ means “I assume”. أَنَّ or أَنْ is used after it to mean that.
I assume that Hamid went to mecca |
أَظُنُّ أَنَّ حَامِدً ذَهَبَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ |
I assume that you are tired. |
أَظُنُّ أَنَّكَ مُتْعَبٌ |
I assume that the Imam is new. |
أَظُنُّ أَنَّ الإِمَامَ جَدِيْدٌ |
I assume that Fatima is absent. |
أَظُنُّ أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ غَائِبَةٌ |
I did not assume that Ahmed will fail. |
ما ظَنَنْتُ أَنْ يَرْسُبَ أَحْمَدُ |
He said, I assume that none of these will perish ever. |
قَالَ مَا أَظُنُّ أَنْ تَبِيْدَ هٰذِهِ أَبَدًا |
