Place and time-based اِسْمٌ   are called ظَرْفٌ  . In nominal sentences, they are called  ظَرْفٌ   and in verbal sentences, they are called مَفْعُوْلٌ فِيْهِ.  This is Mansub.

 

I was in Mecca on Friday

كُنْتُ فِيْ مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ

Where are you going this evening?

أَيْنَ تَذْهَبُوْنَ هٰذَا الْمَسَاءَ؟

I will learn Arabic in the coming year.

سَأَدْرُسُ اللُّغَةَ العَرَبِيَّةَ الْعَامَ الْقَادِمَ

 

مَفْعُوْلٌ فِيْهِ

ظَرْفٌ

جَلَسْتُ عِنْدَ الْمُدِيْرِ

الطَّالِبُ عِنْدَ الْمُدِيْرِ

نِمْتُ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ

الْقِطُّ تَحْتَ الْمَكْـتَبِ
