The sentence which contains condition and its consequence, they are called a conditional sentence. The general form of conditional sentence are,

 فِعْلُ الشَّرْطِ  + جَوَابُ الشَّرْط  +   أَدْوٰتُ الشَّرْطِ

فِعْلُ الشَّرْطِ

أَدْوٰتُ الشَّرْطِ

If you go, I will go.

أَذْهَبْ

تَذْهَبْ

إِنْ

When you will see Khalid, ask him about the book.

فَاسْأَلْهُ عَنِ الْكِتَابِ

رَأَيْتَ خَالِدًا

إِذَا

When you would travel, I would do.

أُسَافِرْ

تُسَافِرْ

مَتَى

 

أَدْوٰتُ الشَّرْطِ  are two types.

1)  غَيْرُ جَازِمٍ  that means which does not make mazzum the verb after it. لَوْ and إِذَا are among them.

2)  جَازِمٌ - تَجْزِمُ فِعْلَيْنِ that means which make its next فِعْلُ الشَّرْطِ   & جَوَابُ الشَّرْطِ muzzum. إِنْ ، مَنْ ، أَيْنَ ، مَا ،  مَتَى ، أَيُّ ،  مَهْمَا  are among them.

 

أَدْوٰتُ الشَّرْطِ

جَازِمٌ  -  تَجْزِمُ فِعْلَيْنِ

غَيْرُ جَازِمٍ

If

إِذَا

Whatever

مَا

 

 

As soon as
