All the praise is due to Allah, who has preserved the Qur'an for us from the letters, from the sound to the sound. Salat and Salam on our Prophet Muhammad (s) who fulfilled the responsibility of conveying the Qur'an to us.

The literal meaning of the word 'Tajweed' is to make beautiful, to make good. In the Academic terminology, the rules of recitation of the Qur'an are called 'tajweed' in one word. It is important to keep the rules of the recitation, or in many cases intended meaning can be changed.

There are many steps for aquaring the perfection in reciting. It is not always mandatory for a general reciter to achieve such perfection that it is necessary for a well-publicized reader to achieve such perfection. Rather, ordinary readers will learn a minimum conquest of knowledge so that the basic principles of the Qur'an recitation are confirmed.

Our course is basically for those who are all new and only in the initial stage. It is often seen that ordinary secular-educated people do not dare to achieve minimum quality fearing of failing to the perfection of reading the Quran. Hence to simplify the presentation, we have written in our own language avoiding some academic terms so that it is easy to remember.

One more thing is that the reader should remember that there is little difference in the style of different areas. In our note we follow the style followed in indian subcontinent.

The important thing is that the tajweed is work of voice, They do not fall into the rules only, they have to be learned from a teacher. We have added a recitation of an excerpt to that target. Readers can recite the rules by listening to them repeatedly.

May Allah make our learning easy. Ameen.
